That team hadn't made Vinny look particularly good up until then had it? Reporters were openly saying the Jets were one of the worst teams in the league. Chad came in and totally turned the team around and it's silly to try and claim otherwise.

I don't think anyone is saying Chad was no good 2 shoulder surgeries ago.

Almost as silly as those who continue to bring Chad's name into every Kellen thread. Why bother? Chad is the past, he will not be starting for the jets any time soon, yet several around here continue to trumpet his praise after this years poor play.

Some people like Chad. There is nothing wrong with that.

I have nothing against Chad as a peson. I'm not one of the jerks who was cheering the injury. he play was bad this year. He threw untimely picks in almost everyone of his last few starts. He's done. Get over it.

This team has little to do but look to the future. I'm excited to see if Kellen can develop into a starter long term and I think he can. It just sad see those who still hang on to the Chad and Herm days. Its over. Time to look for the future of the team.

There are plenty of people on this site who, like me, think Chad played poorly this year, but can still see that he was a quality player early in his career. Recognising someone's past accomplishments is not a waste of time.

i don't think it's fair to judge KC against chad. lets compare KC to his draft class counter parts. would anybody here be happy with leinhart, young, cutler, or jackson?

It took Drew Brees years to develop.
    Have some patience..
Just relax and enjoy the rest of the season. We have the chance to do something really special.

We have a chance to do something special? I'm stumped, what can we possibly have a chance at that would be considered special?

Build a team from the ground up that can beat the Patriots in about three-4 years!

Getting the #1 pick is special.

None of them have shown anything to think that they will be franchise Qbs at this point of their careers, including Clemens. Each of them have shown glimpses(with the possible exception of Jackson) of that potential but are all in the same boat as far as I'm concerned.

I think it is a curse. I do not want us to have the first pick. It is almost impossible to trade away anymore, it is no more reliable than picking 10th and you have to be insane money.

What exactly would you expect them to do after two seasons? What did Peyton Manning win in his first five years? Clemens beat the Steelers, Took us to OT vs the Redskins and we could have one if not for a dropped pass and Came within one drop of Ot v.s the Ravens. What more could you ask for with this defense and one receiver to throw to. I don't know how to tell you this but we are not in the Cowboys league so I don't know what you were looking for. In his four games he has had to face 3 of the four best teams we have played this year. What exactly do you want to see?

You can keep Leinart, but Young and Cutler are way better then Clemens.

And you can make this assumption based on three games played against the Ravens, Cowboys, Steelers and Redskins? Are you kidding me or what? Vince Young can't even read a defense yet.

I don't expect anything,I'm not really sure where this post is coming from. I'm assuming you think I am bashing Clemens, I'm not, I'm not bashing any of them. However I don't think Clemens has shown anything for us to think that the Jets got the best QB of that draft yet( which is what I took the poster I replied to to be implying). They are all in the same boat imo, they're all young QBs learning what it takes to be that franchise type of QB and the verdict is still out whether of not any of them will become that type of QB.
