He ed us back from 1-4, 2-5 to a div title w the dynasty Pats in the division. he won at NE on a Sun Night which preventedNe from winning th '02 div, he led a crushing of 12-3 GB then humiliation of peyton and the Colts. In '04 we were 5-1 when he got hurt and even w/ the shoulder we were a missed kick away from the title game, in '06 he led us to a W over NE at Foxboro. By the way, after he led us to the victory over NE at NE in '02 Ne won 21 straight at home and since he led us to a win at NE last year the Pats have won 8 straight at home and counting. The man is a winner, he struggled this year but don't let 1 poor year fool you.
You have it backwards. Chad was good in 2002 until people got film on him and then he declined. The injuries were a part of it but Chad was perfectly healthy when he was embarrassed by the Raiders in the 2002 playoffs. After that he was consistently beaten by any team that could generate any kind of pressure on defense and that had quick defensive backs. Deer in the headlights started against the Raiders in 2002 and we got to see it on display 2 or 3 times a season after that.
dude the guy took a backseat and wont be here next year jus let it go.. let it go... haha u guys have anger issues
That was Chad's first road playoff start against a pretty good Oakland team and he got zero help from his teammates that day. He still had us tied at the half and tied near the end of the 3rd qtr, it wasn't a deer in the headlights start. I'm guessing teams late in 2002 didn't have film? oak had film but Indy, GB and NE the 3 weeks prior didn't have film on him?
Sounds like the reporter's opinion, not insider info. I thought Kellen was BAD against Dallas, but I still saw enough to be very optimistic about his becoming our franchise QB.
Oakland had film of him against Oakland a month earlier. They shut him down after they'd seen him once and had film in the can. New England intercepted him 5 times in their second go-round against him. Buffalo shut him down the second time they saw him. Pittsburgh shut him down every time they faced him. Basically once a team got film on Chad they figured out how to shut him down unless they just sucked on defense.
So the brilliant Belichick needed to see Chad play before he could shut him down? the 8 weeks of film weren't enough? The 2nd time he saw Buf and Ne he had 1 weapon and teams took him away.
