It's the guy's 4th start, 3rd as a starter. In every game but this one, he has given us a chance to win the game or won it for us. He needs polishing for sure, and work on his accuracy, but we can't say out with Clemens, even after a performance like this.

First of all, the Jets offensive line today was aboslutely abysmal. I don't remember one play where Clemens had 3 seconds to stand in the pocket and look at all his options. He was running around so much, I'm suprised his legs didn't fall off!! Credit the Cowboys, because they absolutely blitzed the heck out of Clemens, and made the Jets O-Line look like a sieve.

Second of all, the Jets running game (or lack thereof) today was a huge factor, in my opinion, when it comes to Clemens game. It got towards that every play was a 3rd down and 7,8,9 or more, and largely because Jones just could not get it going. That isn't Jones's fault; how can you run when there are 3 white jerseys in the backfield on every single running play? The Jets Offensive Line played like absolute crap today, period.

Third of all, the playcalling sucked. It sucked. There's no other way to describe it. How bout another flea flicker? A gadget play? A direct snap? Or we can just shift Baker from one side of the line to the other before every play, that works too!! Did Schottenheimer and Mangini even bother to change their playbook at all when they made the QB change? The INT was a perfect example. The DB literally started moving towards Cotchery before he cut. BEFORE HE CUT!!! It either speaks to the incredible film breakdown technique of the Cowboys CS, or the incredible repetitiveness of Schottenheimer and Co that they jump the route like that. Please, how bout some 15 yard outs...I won't even go even further into that.

Point is, the Jets flat out sucked today, and Clemens did too, but lets not jump all over him yet. He's played 4 great defenses and looked pretty good.

The playcalling sucked, the execution sucked, the Jets sucked.

There are currently no strengths on this team on offense. The tailbacks are the closest but who cares, tailbacks are a dime a dozen. The receivers suck when Coles is not available. The offensive line is the worst I have ever seen play for the Jets at this point. The QB prospect is exactly that, a prospect. I like him but I don't know if he is going to pan out or not.

We are three years away from contending on offense at this point. And we need to rebuild parts of the defense also.

seemed like quite a few dropped passes as well. there was one point where they dropped 3 in a row that were right there.

the guy cant make em catch the ball. although it was pretty ugly today for clemens i didnt necessarily think it was all his fault.

Sure, but everyone went down, Mawae, everybody. It was all second and third stringers...

This year who's gone down on the O-Line?

Without Coles, the offense suffers. Cotch is not a number one, maybe in the future, but not now. The blocking was pretty bad. Simms said many times there was just nobody open most times. Clemens is a work in progress.

I think this line is worse than 2005's at this point. It is collapsing on virtually every passing play and making very few holes for the backs.

I just don't see what it is I'm meant to like about Clemens. That was my first chance to see him live and it was embarrassing. He played rubbish, made nothing happen and missed open receivers a lot. Even that early pass to Baker was rubbish - the guy was wide open and had to make a circus catch, denying any opportunity for YAC.

He was just rubbish, plain and simple.

The entire O was crap. KC really needs to settle. Everything now is just an experiment. Like you said in an earlier post , there is alot of dead wood in the team , and if we were to cut it all out.... we wouldn't have a team.
Personally I don't think KC will be the answear , but give the guy a fair go with the right tools. This seasons just garbage ,start looking to whos in and whos out. BIG rebuild in order.

He did, quite often. It didn't make a difference, he still missed. 10 in a row, for crying out loud. Some due to pressure, others due to being rubbish. And he either can't see who's open, or nobody was getting open, cos he held the ball and held the ball and held the ball.

He's not Chad, but he ain't nothing special neither.

I said it to all the Chad bashers before the season and all along. Clemens is not the answer at QB for the future. I hoped I was wrong.

Should he be starting now - Absolutley! The coaches need to evaluate him the next 5 games but I think we have a good idea he will be no more than average at best.

Seems to me Mangini knew this and is why he stuck with Chad so long.

How can anyone take anything from this game in reguards to Clemens? He never had a chance to do anything. Besides this game he has been solid, and I expect him to continue that in Miami next week.

Are you serious? I mean, is this post serious?

Good God. You guys need to chill out a little. We got our asses handed to us today by a far superior team. The Jets and Clemens played well on Sunday. This was a game with only 4 days to prepare coming off a big win. Clemens was not terrible today. He was just harassed by a very aggressive defense. The O-line was overpowered. The team just doesn't have the horses to compete on a week-in-week-out basis. My guess is he will be solid the rest of the season...except maybe against the Pats.

    Clemens is a keeper.

Clemens was horrible today and very unimpressive sunday. The defense won that game. Clemens as of now,is not a keeper. But he has the rest of the season to change it.

TypO I am surprised to see you think like this. Clemens has 4 starts against 4 great defenses with an o-line that sucks. Not to mention no Coles for almost 3 games. I have been impressed with him and he will only continue to improve. Remember, I am one of the biggest Chad guys around.

Clemens has not been Solid , both Washingtons and Baltimore D's are not as great as everyone has made them out to be. And the final standings will show that - aside from Pitt -- the other three are 13th - 23rd and 24th against the Pass currently.

The Pitt game he went three and out in OT to give the ball to Pitt , The defense and Leons punt return is what won it for us in the OT.

The Jets better be in the Free Agency Market for a QB or they will be drafting one early.
