I heard an interview today from a retired player.....He pretty much said that if "in HIS day, if Brady had thrown on 4th and 7 with a 35-7 lead, that he knew a guy on his team that would have "took him out""....I can't say that I dissagree with that philosophy...I mean, these guys seem to have thrown sportsmanship out the window. Don't get me wrong, I don't wanna see anyone get hurt, but DAMN , you can only shove it in a guys face for so long, ya know?

Sounds like everybody was doing it, that should be justification enough for Pats fans.

The way the rules are now....good luck. Isn't it amazing how they ALWAYS seem to pickup the blitz. They'll get their day.

I expect the Jets-Pats game to be much more competitive than what you'd expect given the difference in the talent at the moment.

I'm guessing that if Brady is throwing on 4th down it'll be because the Pats need him too. I also think the Jets will be throwing the kitchen sink at him for most of the game in terms of off-angle blitzing. There's no way the Jets can lay back against that offense and not lose by 40 points.

Yeah, I have been getting that feeling as well, although I think the result in the W/L column will be the same.

I dunno...........with all of this "spy-gate" stuff going on,.... along with rumors of the PATS trying to run up 100 on the JETS.....It MIGHT be a game worth watching...this might be OUR SUPER BOWL.................just my opinion

that is the reason why you never saw scores like that in that day, well that and people were just different back then.

i said it a couple weeks ago and i still wouldnt be surprised if tom brady ends up taking a cheap hit that ends his year, you can only spit in peoples faces for so long before they end up doing something back, usually when they cant take you down the right way they do whatever they need to do.

Where's Mo when you need him?

That being said, the only way to beat Brady (like we did last year) is to blitz on every play.

If we only rush 3, he will have 4-5 seconds EVERY SNAP and will make EVERY THROW, regardless of how many DB's and LB's we keep back. He just has too many talented receivers running routs. Brady loves playing complete games without being touched.

But rush 4 or 5 different men every snap and now Brady only has 2 - 3 seconds per play. Limites time for routes and patterns to set up, and Brady spends some of the afternoon on his ass. Brady HATES being hit, even if he gets the pass off for long yardage. He gets pissed and doesn't play nearly as well as when he's in a "hands off" zone.

Cut off the head, and the snake will die.

On Offense, we beat NE the same way we beat Pitt. Run the ball up the middle. The same way we beat NE last year. Don't run any "no huddle hurry up offense" unless time is an issue. NE's base D is good enough to stop alomst anybody so preventing them from subbing won't hurt them that much, but it will hurt our Deffense by making them go back out after a quick (1 minute) 3 and out by our O. Better to have our D go back out after a 4 minute 3 and out.

    Jets 26
    NE 23 in OT

I want to see a defender "give him the business" ALA Marty Lyons..... The league is too soft now adays.... Let the players play.... How can defenders possibly be effective if you make rules against passionate, aggressive play?

All i know is that I hope it's snowing in New England that day. Then I hope it could be an epic slugfest, especially if NE is still undefeated.

The game WILL BE CLOSE....it will not be a blowout of crazy proportions like everyone thinks...we will most likely lose by a TD or 2, but it will be worth watching, mainly because I can almost guarantee that an angry Jet will go after Brady with the cheap shot...If there was one team that you had to pick to go after him, who would it be? Im guessing you would say the Jets, a team with nothing to lose, and everything to gain...

    We could lose McFadden!!!??:eek:hmy:

Just kidding. Really, I think it comes down to not making ANY mistakes at all, and the Pats making alot. Imagine if we win? Would there even be a handshake? Like at all? If last year was terrible imagine winning this year?

When the Jets play the Patriots for the 2nd game this year... It will be my freaking Superbowl! It's kinda sad but if the Jets go out and beat the Patriots it will make my season as a Jet fan. Now... If we break the undefeated season that the Patriots have going... I think I may sign up on a Patriots message board and just become a "Troll" lol, how sweet it would be.

With the Jets Luck - If anyone was to take out Brady it'll be David Harris and then the league will suspend him for like 10 games.

Though Eric Barton has been known to have a late hit or two.
