bwahahahahahaha. Awesome. There's a catcher. I love this trade, mostly because we got rid of Mota and actually got something that has some value in return. http://www.baseball-reference.com/e/estrajo01.shtml He doesn't really draw walks, but he's a .280 career hitter. 31 years old.
whenever the story is posted on the Internet, then there will be a link. That's how the Internet works, you know.
Just noticed this on ESPN News. There's your catcher Mets fans. No wonder the Torrealba deal didn't go through.
what the hell do you want me to do if a story isn't posted on the Internet yet? How am I supposed to post a link?

Not sure what you mean by "if", but with all the crap that was on the market getting a catcher for just 1 year and ditching Mota in the process is a fairly good result.
This is a beautiful result. I'm just so pumped to bid Mota adieu. And Estrada starting, with Castro off the bench, is solid enough. Lovely.
I was just wondering if there was a link, because the Mets just raped the Brewers and to be honest Mota for Estrada doesn't really look like a believable trade. No need for smart little comments man, i was just asking for a link.
I wouldn't say we raped the Brewers; Estrada is nothing special really. But to get a below average to average starting catcher for a year at $4M or $5M and to get rid of Mota makes it look insanely better than it really is.
right, so you don't believe it. as I've said in the past, I think I'm at the point where you can trust it if I post breaking news, because I haven't been wrong in the past. I think we ripped them off too.
As noted above, Estrada/Castro is good enough (especially if Castro gets more time than in the past), and saying bye-bye to Senor Steroids is okay by me.
Holy crap. I would've taken a bag of balls and a half eaten donut for Mota, but we made out like bandits here.
Yeah this is true. I'm more ecstatic about us getting rid of Mota than about us gaining Estrada. Estrada isn't bad though.
I agree with the rest, just the fact that they got rid of Mota and got someone back that will help them make this a great trade. I don't know that much about Estrada though except that he was a highly rated prospect that has now played for 5 teams in the last couple years. How is his D and handling of the pitching staff?
