Chad's just talking about how he's going to prepare the same way he always does... About how good a mentor Vinny was for him... And a tidbit about how out of respect for the organization, he's not going to discuss his future with the Jets or with another team right now
He also said that Kellen and him have talked about this very scenario playing out before...and they said they had each others back no matter what.
Clemens up now...... He could use some practice talking to the media... Way more 'uh's than Chad.... It's gotta be hard to say nothing in your presser, but Mangini and Chad have it down to a science
Clemens: 'The New York Jets' fans are very supportive'   You have sooooo much to learn Kellen
I dont know about all that...he is using his words well and making sure he doesn't say anything that can be taken out of context.
Just as a side note about Clemens, one of the things they said about the day he was drafted was that he wasn't a "NY media" guy. He doesn't like the spotlight the press puts on. He's not comfortable with it. That's okay. Do your talking on the field Kellen.
I am excited to see what Clemens can bring to the table. He looked good in that press conference to me.
LOL Hey, as the backup QB he was the most popular guy on the team with the fans! :rofl2: I think he'll do well, he just needs some real game experience that he'll now be getting. Good luck, KC!
Chad: "Look, I'm preparing as if I'm the starter whether I am or not especially since our O-line is in shambles and almost broke my ankle." Clemens: *GULP* Chad: "Even when I didn't play, Clemens took some serious shots and I know My time will come again soon because of our underachieving #4 pick...and I don't mean D-Rob although he fits the Bill." Clemens: *GULP*
This is the Jets we are talking about, we know he won't be the next Tom Brady..I'd sign for the next Tony Romo right now though.
The sad thing is that if KC plays bad Sunday then this whole board will be ablaze about how to draft come April since we will have two weeks to think about his bad performance.
