Brandon Moore on the 1050 ESPN post game show said: "Everyone from top to bottom underperformed today. Myself included. Don't think I'm excluding myself. Everyone in the organization could have done their job better today. Buffalo plays hard and showed us something totally different then what we prepared for all week and we couldn't adjust. Nothing they did was as expected and you have to tip your cap to their players and their gameplan." Dick Jauron definitively outcoached the Jets yesterday. This is really becoming a weekly theme at this point. That's three games in a row Jauron has outcoached mangina. It has nothing to do with a softer schedule last season, and nothing to do with a talent gap, as Buffalo has been decimated by injuries this season. It's coaching. Even the players know it.
Our Coaching lost this game at halftime. Adjustments were not made. Again we let a banged up defense dominate our offense. Its sad really.
Mangini has lost the Jets. Vilma IR'd and unhappy. Chad benched and unhappy. Kendall banished in the pre-season. Now even the grunts are not afraid to open their mouths. You can fire 53 players or you can fire the coach. All it would have taken for most of this to go away would be a couple of the wins the Jets have thrown away. That's how bad coaches get fired, they can't win a game here and there to keep things stable in the locker-room and in the stands.
I don't that you can claim this. Their team wasn't doing crap all day, they didn't rush very effectively, etc. They threw a bomb with their backup quarterback, the defense was their, but they didn't execute by knocking the ball down. The Jets were driving at the end of the first half and we had a chance to put a score on the board and Leon Washington fumbles. The Jets were getting good quarterback pressure with corner blitzes, etc. The problem was we have (had) a quarterback that couldn't get the ball down the field. I wouldn't say we got horribly outcoached.
but you have to look at the second half versus the first. seemed like Buffalo stopped our running game better and eased the qb pressure that we had earlier in the game...these are the adjustments coaches have to make in the lockeroom
Considering how bad the right side of the O-Line was yesterday, the words "shut the hell up" seem appropriate in this situation.
Leon wouldn't have fumbled if he wasn't in on that play because our IDIOT coach called for a trick play when our bruising feature back was averaging 5 yards a carry...
OMG the coaching staff sucks.. They could not account for the offensive juggernaut of the Bills. OMG Mangini was outcoached he sucks....... LMAO, great stuff almost, as good as your preseason stuff. Really on point, so inciteful, this is the real reason you were held in such high esteem ...................
If he didn't fumble it would have been a first down. Now Mangini/Shottenheimer are being blamed for a player fumbling
Of course it is. Look at the second halves of all the games this season, and see what adjustments were made by the respective teams, and what the scores were in the second halves. The Jets have done better in the first half of games. Then, at halftime the staffs make adjustments (or not) and what happens in the second half? Jets lose. If bagging on the CS for doing a crappy job this season lowers the esteem of this poster in some of your eyes, i can live with that. If they do a great job next year, i'll post that. They've done a bad job this year, why is that so hard to accept?
I don't understand why people can't see this... Can anyone think of ANY good decisions the coaching staff has made? I mean seriously... think about it... Name a decision that Mangini and the other 5th graders have made that has won a game for us? That has given us a better chance to win a game? That has put us in a position to better prepare for next year? That has helped to raise player morale? Anyone???
He is going to have to get rid of about 40 of them to complete the rebuilding anyway. Most of these guys will be gone when the finished product is ready to compete.
if you have to dump 40 players, the team won't be competitive for years, because you can't bring in 40 players of quality in 1, 2 or 3 seasons. hope you are ready to lose for 6 seasons until your transition is complete, and when the finished product is ready to complete, the entire coaching staff will be gone by then anyways.
Shhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! dont belittle mangina, you'll get banned. Those that love him (mangina) will turn you in to the authorities!!!! mangina has to go, the sooner the better. he will probably end up coaching some d-2 school, if he can hack it! there is no way a good coach could only win as many games as we have, with the players we have. everybody should e-mail bill cower, before the next ten losing seasons pass us by.
This is not going to be a one year thing. Look at the roster and the ages of the players we have now. These are the ones I can see being around hopefully. Clemens Brad Smith Leon Washington Mangold D'brick Chansi Stuckey Chris Baker-Maybe David Harris Darrell Revis Kerry Rhodes Bryan Thomas Maybe one or two more but that is it. This mess is going to take a few years of very good drafting and F/A signings to turn around. Just look at the Patriots and see the level of play we have to get to to even compete. They are destroying teams that will beat on us.
