"Not give a shit" is a little strong, but certainly everyone has to agree that if he was going to keep playing the way he has for the past 1 1/2 years, Vilma being out will not affect the team's fortunes in any particularly important way. Unless Vilma playing in the 3-4 is somehow the reason he got a season-ending injury (as opposed to why he's playing poorly), blaming Mangini and Tannenbaum for this is about as ridiculous as anything you could think of.
Hey glenn212, can I use your opening line as a sig? Truer words were never spoken. lol Be my guest dude, But if you put it on a t-shirt I'm lookin for some chedda! hahha
Yeah, and the IR tag means we can all stop wondering if this was a coach's decision or not. The Jets would be risking extreme penalties if they used IR on a player who was not genuinely injured. We're talking loss of picks if it came to light.
geez...you just cannot make this shit up, ever..... this franchise is the closest thing to daytime TV there is, bar none. from the owners, front office, coaches, players, hell even the dang security and ball boys; its an absolute cluster phuck the only guy on the roster with decent market value goes down......there are 3 defensive positions that demand a so called premium on the trade market - pass rushing DE, MLB, and shut down corner. IMO vilma would have been on the block this offseason. now i do not know. a team like the chiefs would have gladly given at least a 2 and a 4/5 for him and now who knows. jil
They would not have interest. They signed Napoleon Harris to a 6-year contract in March to play MLB. Detroit and Denver are possibilities. Denver is getting poor play from their outside linebackers. If they were to bring in Vilma, they could move D.J. Williams back outside.
good job cakes.... did not know that about harris. that does take them out of the mix. good points about the lions and broncs. jil
I have the same feeling. Vilma wasn't doing much anyway this season, but it still hurts to see him go down. Get well soon Vilma!
