Koz, he is a 2nd year HC who is learning as he goes. Just for the record I saw them line up SEVERAL times yesterday in a 4-3 also. This a hybrid defense, but the talent is simply not there. I agree that the talent level falls on Tangini, and they really should have addressed the def line in the offseason, but this is still a work in progress. Mangini is young and learning. What he spoke of at the post game press conference should give us all a little hope. Let's hope that it is all not just words, and we start to see some changes from here on out.

And you've just proven that with another useless, meaningless post- Chump, the biggest waste of bandwidth in the history of TGG.COM

    Haven't jumped yet, huh?

Magini is more like a "coach in training". I think that he COULD be a good HC some day. It's all about how patient the organization, players and fan base are willing to be with him. When he came here, the Jets were clearly a 2-3 year rebuilding project. To everyone's surprise, they made the playoffs last year which really threw expectations out of whack. It's almost too bad the Jets could swap last year for this year. At least that way we'd all feel like we were moving forward instead of backward.

Yeah, he's looking like a bad coach right now. Nothing that he's trying is working, and his vaunted 3-4 defense is just the pits.

I'd say he should demote Sutton and take over the reins himself as DC except of course he was not a very good DC in the season he ran New England's defense.

On the defensive side at least he's looking like a major league faker at this point. One season running Belichik's 3-4 into the ground got him our head coaching job?

Amen I said this last year and I will say it again. This guy is no genius. Bill Walsh was a genius. I said last year he needs to do it twice before I will start to give him any real compliments. At this point one can argue that Mangini wasn't good last year more so than he was lucky.
I was not convinced last year and I am not convinced this year. He is just another person in the strange relationship the patriots and Jets have had in recent years.
