Anthony Schlegel has been involved in numerous plays on the Bengals defense and has looked great. Numerous stops for losses, and stuffing the run. The Jets would be better off with him in the middle as opposed Vilma [/sarcasm]
I would have to say at this point, Anthony Schlegel is more than likely the second coming of Brian Urlacher. Huge mistake getting rid of him.
We can't blame Mangini for letting him go because everybody on this board wanted him out. We wasted a pick on Harris. Or we could have kept him and traded Vilma.
The Jets are going to have a rough time developing their defense because Mangini feels that the players should fit the system, not the system fitting the players.
Yea, we can blame Mangini. We're not the coaches or talent evaluators. We're fans. We aren't pros. Mangini and co. is.
crack is such a bad drug.... he played well, but better than vilma? you get 2007s biggest dope award.
Yeah, Schlegel has played great for them. That's why their defense is so dominating and threatening to propel the Bengals to the playoffs regardless of what their offense does...
Everyone needs to get a grip. Lets not annoint Bore-Boy the second coming yet. Everyone has to remember, 1) no matter how good the Jets offense made them look today, the Cincy defense still sucks, so Schegal on a hurting/bad LBing core, and 2) most of Schegal's stops came on running plays and THE JETS RUN BLOCKING SUCKS!!!! Both guards and the RT can't open a hole worth their life (notice every time Jones tried to run up the gut as opposed to bouncing to the outside, he was stop for 2 yard or no gains???). A little perspective after a loss would be nice.
its the jets uniforms!! look at some guys who came and gone and sucked here and are great somewhere else. another dumb move it reminds me of the farrior move, good job coaches and gm..
I can't believe we just dropped a future HOF'r like that. This FO is clearly not able to evaluate talent.
hahaha hilarious that nobody can see the sarcasm in my post, let alone dwalsh's post where he actually wrote the word sarcasm.
