When is your Breaking point? When do you finally, not care or even prefer to lose, for the better draft pick?

Mine was last week. Yes we might win this weekend, but a little piece of me will be saying "damn that might have lost us a couple spots".

I'll root for them to win until the bitter end. I'm a glutton for punishment.

Adrian Peterson went at 9 . . . meaning that draft spot really doesn't mean all that much. I'm rooting for them to win every week. But I'm pretty ambivalent about them winning or losing because it seems like the season is pretty much lost at this point.

We would have done better with a lower pick in 06 and taken Ngata.

I dont have that much confidence in the FO to make the right pick with a top three pick.

And why is this? What bad pick(s) have been made the past two years that you dont have confidence?

I truly hate that the FO and CS has insisted on playing a 3-4 and hasnt brought in a true NT. Its been a clusterfvck in that regard.

My breaking point was last week, I figured Mangini would finally play Clemens but realise that actually might not happen for most or all of this season.

I figure this is just one of those throw-away seasons, where you've just got to emotionally detach yourself from the team(well except to laugh at the ineptitude of Mangini) and concentrate on other things. I'll still support the players, with the hope we get to see the future of the Jets get their chance to start some matches. Perhaps next season, this team that's improved on talent will get a coaching staff that'll utilize them properly.

I've been rooting for them to win since 1967. A couple places in the draft isn't going to make much of a difference.

ok fine. But you didnt answer my question....what pick that they have made the past two years was bad? You said you dont trust the FO with a top 3 pick and you have yet to back it up with any type of point or hard evidence.

I did tell you. They blew the #4 pick by not taking a NT. As they are now finding out, it isnt so easy to find one. You need to get one when he was available.

Other than that, their drafts have been pretty good. Even Schleigel has managed to get PT with the Bengals. But they did fail to draft an impact DL, and other than Bender, who is a project, they did nothing for the OL this year.

The war is won in the trenches, especially come playoff time.

As has been pointed out on this board a number of times, they don't play a true 3-4. The Jets play a hybrid defense, something between the 3-4 and
    4-3.

This deserves a detailed reply about what the defense is they are playing, and more importantly, WHEN they are switching it up, and how it is too simple and obvious to be disguised. But I am enjoying my Canes win over the Noles, so i'm not going to get into it now, but the defensive playcalling (which includes the alignments) has been horrible.

At a certain point in the season, I may be able to convince myself during the week that losing would be best for the team, and that's what I want, but come Sunday, that goes out the window...

Even when my head is fully convinced that losing is best for the team, I'll be pissed if the Jets lose a game, and I'll get up and cheer for them every chance I get....

Once Clemens gets in the game for good, the best thing for this team is to win as much as they possibly can. The draft spot is meaningless compared to Clemens becoming the Qb we need him to be. That is the single most important aspect left to this season with the continued improvement from the OL a close second.

I agree. I'll go for the games, cheer for the Jets, but I'll have a bit of guilt in my either way. If we win, I'll be a little sad we didn't lose. If we lose, I'll be a little sad we didn't win.
