It's more of just a feeling because we haven't seen much of him. But I just get the sense that he won't deliver a championship. He will just be another guy that gets us 9 or 10 wins and into the playoffs then out after 1 or 2 games. Maybe he gets us into an AFC Championship Game...maybe. Much like we've had the last 30 years. But nothing more. Again I could be really wrong, but I doubt it.

lets not forget Gino Torretta won the Heisman, as well as the national title.. (he falls within middling success category, as does Steve Walsh, another national champion form the U!!)

you nailed it. Woodson is the best qb coming out. I love him, the guys got it all can make all the throws, is mobile and tough, is carrying a mediocre Kentucky program on his back in the SEC and rarely throws INT's

woodson has "the happy feet", wrong choice here guys. he has looked good against sub par defenses, but the ones who make effort to get after him rattle him. looks like a troy smith, charlie ward to me. if these two guys win the heisman and still dont get drafted, what seperates woodson from these two? it sure isnt his play. wait till they play their next 3-4 games, you'll see.

he has a ton of help, that you dont hear of either. his backs and receivers, are going to be very good someday, somewhere. in no way does he pack this team.

Unless Clemens comes in now so the Cs can evaluate his play we will not be getting any Qb. If Chad is not benched we face the possibility of having the same problems at Qb next year. Tangini drafted Clemens to take Chad's place and they need to find out if it was a good pick.

Well, Torretta did not even have middling success in the NFL. He was absolute trash the few times he got on an NFL field.

Steve Walsh did not play in the Big East. He was already in the NFL by the time the Big East was formed (1991).

The UL defense is horrible. The offense puts up 30+ every game and they still lose.If the Heisman really is best player, Brohm should get it

If the Heisman went to the best player, Darren McFadden would get it.

I'm fully aware of that, and I expect 9 and 10 win seasons going forward but still watching other teams holding the Lombardi Trophy. That's how I see it. I hope I'm wrong.

well thank goodness ur opinion doesnt mean jackshit, bc u dont draft a qb in the 1st rd when u have a qb waiting already, who the hell are u to make presumtions about a qb that has never played? drafting brian brohm would be worse then getting drob a few yrs back, we need big strong face eaters, and many of them, we shud trade our high 1st pick to pick up some huge animals in the 1st 2nd and 3rd, this team needs to get bigger and stronger or it wont matter if joe montana is the qb....awful post murrell and i dont ever say that, nothign personal

Nothing for nothing Cakes is one of the most knowledgable/ well researched posters here, definitely in the top 5 on this site. I do not think making snide remarks about his research is appropriate.

Flutie/Testaverde and Kosar were definitely on Miami when they were an independent school. A little research on your part might be good.

Edit: Cakes was quicker on the draw than I.

excuse me?!?! Who are you? You whole post is presuming that Clemens is the answer. It is well within my right to believe that he is NOT the answer.

Whether your right or wrong we can not know till he actually plays. I know one thing and that is the status quo is no longer acceptable.

I am more confident in KC than you. That is not because I am a savant or have insider knowledge. It just comes from the fact that once the CS shredded Chads playbook and realized they had a QB, KC was excellent. If he can do that against the Ravens I can only wonder what he can do to lesser defenses. Also his first 3 quarters are understandable. It should take time for essentially a rookie QB to figure out an all NFL defense.

Also, one of the pundits felt that he was the best QB coming out of the draft. (i.e Jaworski). If they did not feel he was the best at the very least they felt he was going to be a better pro than Leinart. His injury really hampered him in the draft and hopefully alowed us to snag a 1st. round talent with a 2nd round pick.

It is certainly fine for you to have your doubts. I just find it odd you are basing it on a feeling.
