Great game by Dbrick and the entire O-line. After what the Giants did last we to hold them back like they did is something to be proud of.

true, other than that last-minute sack in garbage time, D'brick really held his own. I was dead worried when Mangold left the game for a while, I was afraid the second our line caller left, the whole line would fall apart... Granted wade smith snapped the ball into Chad's chest when when he was audibleing... other than that, they played phenomenally this week.

At least we know our draft picks from last year are turning into solid players.

Mangold has been great, Brick I thought did well for a rookie tackle last year some not so much but he is clearly getting better, Washington has been a playmaker, Brad Smith has done a great job doing a little bit of everything, and it looks like Eric Smith will be a solid player too.

And Revis showed me a lot this week by bouncing back after a rough game last week. Harris also has impressed me when he has been out there.

    Brick is making tremendous progress...

There was the one Osi sack, that will be attributed to Brick, but I blame that on miscommunication between him and Clarke...

Brick casually shoved Osi to the inside on that play, as if he was assuming Clarke would pick him up, and Clarke wasn't there...

Overall, great game, and really very good last 3 games for D'Brickashaw!

    Brick/Clemens > Justice/Leinart!

ok our pass protection was phenominal, our run blocking sucked, this unit is athletic and undersized, which was perfect to matchup against a fast smaller giants dline, we did great protecting chad today and for that matter the past 3 weeks, but we are not opening enough holes for thomas jones, i dont knpow about u guys but i really think thomas jones is ganna be a star for us, but he is not getting the lanes he needs, like those stupid ass strecth plays, we gatta improve on running the ball or we have no chance in this league, we need to get a lot more phycial, very very fast...sorry for ranting on like this but i am pretty upset we lost today, giant fans suck

That brings us back to the what came first the chicken or the egg dilemma....can we not run the ball because there are 10 men within 5 yards of the line on every play or is there really a problem with our run blocking. We won't get an answer until we have a Qb who can throw downfield.

You cant judge the line until you have a quarterback. a good game with Penny behind center is more than we could ask for.

very fair point indeed, although today we threw the ball downfield a lot more, and the play action pass opened / was called for the 1st time all season , but seriously does anyone else think that stretch play is awful, i mean cmon we aint the colts

We are passed the point where throwing downfield once or twice a game will "keep the defense honest". We would need to actually hit on a few plays down the field for a few weeks in a row before we would see any type of loosening up and I mean plays of 40 plus

Pass protection as a whole was great today.

Run blocking still needs a lot of work.

I really don't even think its the run blocking thats bad. I think teams know we cant stretch the field so they are gearing up to stop the run. With a legitimate quarterback, Kellen Clemens, i think we will open up the offense and in turn the running game will pick up.

Wouldnt Quite call it GREAT! That would entail being able to run block.

Wait..wait..wait. The OL has two responsibilities, not one. Sure he had a good game keeping the pass rush off Pennington. Where were all the holes he opened so Thomas Jones could run for more then 35 yards for the second week in a row? This line is still terrible.
