I was offered Marc Bulger for Sammy frickin Morris. I know Bulger is bad n has the ribs but how can I possible pass on a deal like this. We start 2 backs n right now I have Morris, Leonard, Edge n alexander. Do it?
Do it. I don't need to know who your quarterbacks are, I don't care about your scoring system. Just do it.
I'd probably do it, but don't have high hopes for Bulger. That offense is going nowhere this year. And Frerotte is the starter until Bulger gets healthy.
It actually was my roomate n he found out when I did. I still am trying to get bulger for dirt to stash on the bench for 3 weeks when he comes back
Do the trade. Morris can give you squat on any given week while Bulger will be back in action in a few weeks.
The whole idea of fantasy is not to discover the sleeper of the year but to win the fantasy superbowl. The Patriots are just giving Maroney rest so that he'll be fresh for the stretch at the end of the season. He may be bad for fantasy now but he'll be money in Weeks 13-17. Buy low on Maroney now and sell high on Morris while you can.
I'm bored so here are my buy low, my don't buy low, and my sell high candidates at this point in the fantasy season: Buy Low Larry Johnson - He always starts off slow. Get him now while you can. Shaun Alexander - Another slow starter who will be money down the line. Lawrence Maroney - His owners are rightfully depressed. I'm counting on Beelzicheck to start feeding Maroney the rock consistently just in time for the fantasy playoffs. Reggie Bush - Not doing much right now. He's still Reggie Bush. Kevin Jones - He'll be back to doing the Brian Westbrook impression he learned last season very soon. Peyton Manning - Got an owner that is disappointed Peyton isn't posting a weekly 300 yards and 3 TDs? Fleece him while you can. Donovan McNabb - He's looked like crap recently. That's only cuz Westbrook has been out. Westy is back now so grab McNabb while you cab. Vince Young - If your league rewards rushing TDs and you can get him on the cheap, go for it. Marc Bulger - Everyone is giving up on this guy but he could be money in the fantasy playoffs. Anquan Boldin - Hopefully, the guy who has him is impatient and doesn't want to wait another week for him to be back in action. Marvin Harrison - Same as for Boldin but double. Steve Smith - Is his owner dumb enough to think that the loss of Delhomme will hurt Smith's production? Take advantage. Joey Galloway - Two bad weeks in a row but he's still a #1 and a threat to go all the way at all times. Calvin Johnson - Could emerge late in the season. Don't Buy Low Steven Jackson - He wasn't doing anything before the injury. Frank Gore - Teams have learned that, if you shut down Gore, the 9ers offense disappears. Rudi Johnson - He was once Mr. Consistent. Those days seem so long ago. Thomas Jones - Just in case you thought I know what I'm talking about, I took this guy in the third round. Cedric Benson - He'll only succeed if the Bears passing game develops. Good luck with that. Drew Brees - What happened to this guy? The o-line in N'Orlins is terrible this year and is showing no signs of improvement. Jay Cutler - This sleeper is going to stay asleep until at least next year. Andre Johnson - Got injured last year and wasn't the same after. This year, his injury is worse. Stay away. (Note: He doubles as a sell high(ish) candidate) Marques Colston - He's now among the many mediocre WRs. Hines Ward - Wasn't so great before the injury. Darrell Jackson - Wouldn't touch him under any circumstances. Vincent Jackson - The passing game in SD is Gates or bust. Reggie Brown/Kevin Curits - The lesson, as always, is never to start an Eagles WR. You think RB tandems are bad? This is way worse. Sell High Clinton Portis - The knee is acting up and the tandem is starting to form. If you can get a top tier WR for him, go for it. Brandon Jacobs/Derrick Ward - Jacobs will be more of a sell high candidate after this week. Ward is at his peak right now. Either way, the reality is that neither of these guys is good. Sell while you can. Selvin Young - Is someone willing to part with a legitimately good player for this guy? He's Selvin Young, probable #1 RB for the Broncos now. In a month, he'll be a worthless 1/3 of a RB tandem. Vernand Morency - Same deal as Young. If someone believes he's going to be "the guy" from here on out, take advantage. Tatum Bell - Not really high but, if you can get rid of him, do it now while he still has some value left. Derrick Anderson - There's no way he keeps this up. (Note: Not sure if his name is Derrick and I don't care). Derrick Mason - He's on the Ravens. And his name is Derrick. Desmond Clark - He's on the Bears. And his name is almost Derrick. Donte Stallworth - Pats WRs not named Randy Moss will drive you crazy. Ben Watson - Same goes for this guy. That's all I can think of for now. Enjoy.
I'm on the fence over whether Lee Evans is a good candidate for a buy low. Pre-season rankings say he is but I wouldn't make that move. The Bills just refuse to throw deep (or even medium) this season. As for Selvin, I stand by my previous comments.
In my money league, I just traded LJ & Braylon Edwards for LT and Stallworth? What do you guys think?
I like it. Any trade that involves you getting LT and not giving up anyone unreasonable is a good one.
Amazing how much both LJ and LT suck this year. And they aren't even on a team that platoons RBs. This may be the last year (or was it last year) where RBs are more valuable then WRs in FF.
