I had a feeling by halftime that we were going to lose the game.

I really don't see this. The Jets lines are bad enough that I don't think there's any team in the NFL that we should feel confident against on any given Sunday.

I still think we'll find a way to win 6 games but it's going to be really ugly getting there and unfortunately some innocent parties (Thomas Jones) are going to get absolutely hammered along the way, both by opposing defenses and the media.

Did you seriously ask that question?

i know why this season will suck

it will all be self inflicted by mangini and boobway, they want great pick placement in the draft and to save all the money they can this year so they can spend it all in one place next year!!! maybe they will wait for the next season after that and in the meantime get rid of chad, vilma, ellis, robertson, and anybody else they can, to save some more money! in the mean time we can all enjoy our argumentation and speculation. looking forward to another 30 years of being a jet fan without a consistently competitive football team! i just hope we can trash the ideas of turning a past ball boy into a champion, and aquire a good coach, and gm.

You are aware that Bradway is no longer our GM, right? He's still a consultant for the team, but has no major say on personnel decisions. Was "boobway" just too tempting a nickname to give up?

If Chad, Vilma, Ellis, and Robertson go, it won't be to save money.

to enlighten you on your mistake, boobway is a contributor to our problems of today. if the aformentioned personnel get the proverbial axe what other reason could it be? are you one of those in favor of the shift to the 4-3? did i offend you and our ball boy as a coach comment? are you or were you a ball boy?

My problem with this team is that we don't know who we are. Are we a -

    power running team
    down field passing team
    win with strong defense

Who are we? We've been wondering this for a while. I was hoping Mangini would bring definition to this team. But right now he seems to be a guy who is smart about football rather than a football guy who is smart.

What I mean is that Bill P. and Bill B. are football guys who are smart concerning what it takes to win on a football field while Mangini is like the office manager who is intelligent about football.

    Or maybe I'm just :drunk:

maybe mangini would be better suited in the office and not on the field. interesting point!

Gosh, thank you for the enlightenment. I'll bet your reasoning skills win you a lot of arguments on the shortbus

I'm aware that Bradway contributed heavily to our problems today. I still don't understand your comment that Mangini and Bradway are somehow currently working together this year to save money in order to spend it all next year. You refer constantly to Mangini and Bradway as "they", as though Bradway still has a major role in the decision making of this team.

If those other players get the axe, it will be because management/the CS decide to stick with the 3-4 and decide those players aren't great fits, particularly in the case of Robertson and Vilma. Yes, I feel we should be running the 4-3 with our personnel.

he is a consultant to someone or something, my guess is player personnel. shortbus? are you saying im special?(i have to say that was a good comeback!haha) we have cap money to the good , we had cap money to the good and we did nothing to help our big problems, except try to make jokeob bender our left guard to show pete we dont need him. i guess the raiders showed randy moss too? atleast you do see that a move toward the 4-3 would help us now. i guess that makes you special too!!!!! ha ha

This last off season the Jets should have really spent some money and improved this team. We had glaring issues going into the off season and only a couple of them were addressed. I wonder if that 10-6 record fooled them into thinking they could compete this year with the same team. I kind of knew this season with this schedule we would take a step back, I just hope the FO is more active this off season -- god it's week five and I am mentioning off-season...
