How do you think he handled the onslaught?

he actually handled it pretty decently. i mean he did not really have a pass rush and i think its just the coverage schemes. sutton has the secondary playing way back and that leaves wide open receivers when the jets actually do get pressure.

He looked a lot better than Barrett.

yeah he got picked on a lot, but he's a rookie it'll happen.

The important thing is for all the times he got burned, on a couple of the most crucial 3rd downs he was able to man-up and made stops - a 3rd down in the first half in our end and the 3rd down Buf had at the end when we needed the ball back. These are good for his development.

Once he gets a pass rush and help on the other side, he'll be a hell of a corner.

He's an awesome tackle and he has all of the tools to become great.

.....i love how you bash Vilma all over this board and yet you praise revis all the time. I am going to lay it down straight. Revis has been getting away with crappy play all year. Marty Booker schooled him and now the crummy bills receivers schooled him. He was god awful. He left so many people wide open and yet you praise him. Revis is terrible as is everyone on this defense that isnt Shaun Ellis

revis made a play that should have led to us tying the game. people are going to catch balls against him, but he did not suck

I didn't know rookies that were picked in the first round and missed 2 weeks of training camp were supposed to be automatic Champ Bailey's in their 4 career game.

He played like a rookie, but a damn good rookie. The soft coverage that I saw, with one exception, occurred all across the field and led me to believe that it was part of the gameplan. He showed he's a sure tackler, but I'd love to see them let him play tighter coverage.

You didnt watch the game did you. Revis did well and please remember that he is a rookie. If anyone you should pick on pick on Barrett. Barrett looked silly when by that spin move that was made on him. Revis is a sure tackler and a solid cover corner. Trent had all day to throw the ball, its not easy covering a guy when the qb has time to pick and choose.

He looked really good. The announcers kept on saying how the bills were taking advantage of him being a rookie and all, but he played solid and didn't give up too many plays. God damn I can't stand I-an eagle. Anyway, he's still a rookie, but if the rest of our secondary played as well as him.. Barrett, I'm talking to you, fucker.. we'd be a lot better off. And yeah coverage definitely needs to be tighter..

I don't know if it was all him, but so many times their receivers were wide open. How friggin' frustrating! :(

I am combining 2 threads here: There are a couple of other douchy Revis threads, I just picked these because Trent "LOL" Edwards was the first one to pick on Revis.

Bumping this because it is some of the same stuff with Wilson, although Revis was better at that stage of their rookie seasons.

I don't remember Revis struggling as much as Wilson though.
