you are joking here, right? The players "pay the price"? I think not. The players shouldn`t give a flying F*** about who is cheering and who is not. They are professionals and should be able to get the job done without anyone cheering for them. They GET PAID THE PRICE!!! and a big price too.

I'd gladly take them in Los Angeles but this team isn't moving anywhere.

Oh they get paid the price. They can do plenty of selfmotivation and try to pump themselves up, but they can't get that added edge of adrenaline that the crowd provides. Do you not remember the 2 delay of games forced last week in baltimore at the end of the game?

I was at the Jets/Colts 02 Playoff game and that place was rockin, so I kno they can get loud.

That's inaccurate, why do you hear so many times about the players saying our fans where great today and they really rattled that QB on that last drive. Or man that guy missed that FG because the fans really got in his head.

If you wanna sell your tix that's fine I do the same with my Charger tix but I don't claim to be a Charger fan. If having your tix is such a hassle then you should give them up.

I understand what you are talking about with these idiots needing Fireman Ed to tell them what to do. You are so right. There was no Fireman Ed when I was a kid and whenever guys like Marino had the ball it was J - E - T- S chant, every 1st down you'd hear it and everytime the D made a play you heard it. I went to a game last year and was like where the hell are the J-E-T-S chants

I was at Qwest Field the first week of the season and I can honestly say I've never been in a louder stadium. And considering I've gone to games in Baltimore, Philly, Foxboro and Pittsburgh that's saying something.

It wasn't always like this. When I was a teenager in the eighties Jets fans rocked the Meadowlands. Now, it's just like "screw it, whatever."

When I went to the Pats-Jets home game two years ago my brother and I almost got in a fistfight with this asshole behind us who was mad that we stood up and cheered when the Jets scored. No shit, he was like "SIT DOWN, WE CAN'T SEE!" What a fuckwad.

Yeah, maybe its a result of the older crowd. There's not a lot of colleges or anything in the area, unlike some other major cities

Maybe they're not drunk enough due to taking a bus from a satellite parking lot instead of tailgating?

You'd have to be in line behind me.... Woody should be the guy with the balls out of all the owners in pro sports to say "fuck it; I'm moving my team to Vegas". Regardless of the NFL's stance on the city the legally can't stop him from moving the team.

my family has relocated to minnesota but we still have the tickets, and went to the first game...that said i agree completely with you, i was the only jets fan in a bar in morgantown wv and i was louder then the fans today, it was fuckin embarrassment, when we lived in ny we stayed till every game was over, cheered loud as hell and got into the stadium an hour early to watch warmups, i dont know how the crowd got so poor, but to my fellow ticket holders, MAN THE FUCK UP

Ticket prices going thru the roof... it's pricing out the hardcore fan and now you're getting these rich quasi fans who care more about saying they have season tickets than actually going to the game... very similar to the MLB playoff crowd... also don't discount the Giant fan thing... I remember in 99 when Vinny got hurt 30% of the people in the stands got up and left in the 3rd quarter... i was buying tickets from a guy who worked for me at the time... I remember the guy behind me yelling "Take those jerseys off you fucking Giants fans"... classic moment... and none of them said a word...

having the tix is NOT the problem. PAYING for them sometimes is. ;)

In all due respect, I`ve been a Jets fan for quite some time now. I`m simply taking a break from going to the games. Thats all. When I cut half my pinky off today, green blood came out. :)

My remaining a season ticket holder all lies on the PSL situation when the new shithole opens up. I will not invest $20,000+ for any football team. You think the fans suck ass now, just wait till the die-hards who can`t afford it leave. I`m holding onto hope that I can still be a season ticket holder when the new place opens. I had hopes in the past that when my children were born I would be able to make Jets football a family thing to do. Unfortunately, they priced us out already and there aren`t any PSL`s to pay for yet.

DUMB DUMB DUMB DUMB thread. First, all these people who at the beginning of the thread bash the season ticket holders were not at the game so they have no right to say anything. Second, you people who say it was horrible that you could hear Trent Green the whole day, perhaps thats because they have microphones on him? Now, granted, towards the end of the game way too many people had left, but they were up 31-13 in the 4th quarter. Who would have thought it would end up being a tight game. And at kickoff, although not ideal, it was better than usual. And when Chad came out onto the field, almost as if to say sorry to him, everyone cheered. The stadium was rocking on important third downs, not to mention when Chrebet came out. I dont think its fair to say that the crowd was an embarrassment, especially considering you were sitting on your ass at home watching on tv.
