The debacle against NE has to be stricken from our memories, sure it's extremely doubtful that the NFL overturns the outcome of the game, but we have to remember it was not an even playing field, the Jets are NOT as bad as they appeared. They will likely never look this bad against another opponent.

    Our season starts Sunday!

    I agree.

I will believe last Sunday was a fluke if the Jets come out and destroy the Ravens.

As usual though, I expect it to be a colossal struggle.

    *sigh*

Has all these years on the Gang Green finally got me turning to the dark side?

Don't have to destroy the Ravens, any type of win will be just fine with me ;)

Good luck with that. ravens are going to run over that horrible defense. The jets will start playing well whe managini realizes what his defence is and adjust accordingly

I agree that attempting to cheat is as bad as actually cheating. But how was the playing field not level? As I read it in the Post or the Daily News, the video was confiscated by the Jets or the league before the Pats had a chance to match the signals with the formations. Is that correct or was I reading an old story? Any update would be appreciated.

I think the Jets bounce back this wk. Clemens will have a big game, leon and jones will get running well, and coles & cotch will both have great games. All it takes is better play by the d-line and o-line for this team to be good.

Sorry, but I still see the Jets are 0-1.

Dungy tried that tactic when Hester returned the TD to start Superbowl XLI...Saying "It's 0-0 guys, scoreless game." And Peyton Manning went, "ummm nope, I see "7-0 on the scoreboard."

I see 0-1 and I see this is week 2.

"In his review of the facts, Commissioner Goodell determined that the Patriots’ use last Sunday of the video camera, which was seized before the end of the first quarter, had no impact on the outcome of the Patriots-New York Jets game."

Despite the videotaping by the Patriots, the tape was confiscated before it could be used in any way whatsoever for the game. As such, it couldn't aid the Patriots in the game against the Jets. As much as Jets fans would like to believe, as far as that game is concerned, the Patriots beat the Jets fair and square.

The Pats were good...ehhh Moss was great....we are not as bad as that 38-14 beatdown...the Ravens will not blow us out no way...I still think we will lose but we can beat them even with Clemens but it has to be one of those days when everything goes our way...

Baltimores defence is good but not great...what would be a routine tackle they turn into a bloodbath thats what make most think they have a great D...with their offense prone with mistakes we have a shot a taking one to the house....

These are the type of games that make us so good against the spread...we are not as bad as most think...

The more I hear about this, the more I think that Mangini had to be setting Beli up. He knew that Beli would continue videotaping his calls to maintain his strategic advantage in the face of shifting signal calling and bluffs. It wouldn't surprise me if Mangini, knowing he faced a huge talent disadvantage and knowing that it'd be tough to win while getting his first look at the new Pats team, used the same signals from last season. Beli had footage on that, likely prepped those signals in case any showed up, and had a field day. The way O'Callaghan shifted to pick up every blitz gave the accusations a lot of credibility.

The Patriots would have won the game, but I think both coaches planned for an uneven playing field.

I feel like this will be a game of attrition. Special teams better play well.

Yeah, but what about the tape from the playoff game? Or the two regular season games last year?

More importantly, how did the tapes from the regular season games last year affect the playoff game?

i am curious to see what their NT ngata does.....

i do recall some posters wanting to draft him at the time and catching some heat for it because of the perceived increased value the LT brings to the team instead of the NT......
