    Taken from DR.Zs Pwer Rankings:

    New England Patriots (1-0)
So now they're saying that a New England paparozzo took some adult films of the Jet coaches giving their signals, after Green Bay complained about the same infracture last year. Oh boy, does this take us way back. The late Bucko Kilroy, the Patriots' personnel director for many years, once was involved in a hilarious but spicy incident involving accusations by Rams' coach George Allen that Bucko, then a Dallas scout, had climbed a tree to spy on his practices. Are these things passed on through the generations, or what?

This is going to go down as one of the weirdest weeks in Jets history, a week started by a crushing loss to a hated rival, then two days of absolutely tearing the Jets a new you know what, then news of Spygate comes out, now everyone praising many of the Jets.

    Crazy.

What the hell is that avatar you have? Kind of reminds me of Bellicheck two years ago, in his better looking days.

If Goodell hands out no more than a slap onthe wrist, I will be very disappointed in the NFL and its leadership.

Substance abuse is a form of cheating and the NFL has taken a very hard line on that as well as the "Conduct" policy.

I see this as no different; come down onthem and come down on them hard. Unless, the NFL wants this kind of thing to go on all the time thereby damaging the integrity of the game.

What is "hard"? What if it is, say, 1 pick in each of the first 3 rounds? Where does that rate?

the other side of the coin!

it would seem that mangini was part of this very thing when he was with the pats. so why is he all of a sudden holier than thou? why was it ok when he coached the pats, and now he's turned rat! once a rat, always a rat!
yet nobody here wants to flip over the other side of the coin!!!!!

I really don't think you'll be terribly disappointed, GH. Of all the things that degrade the integrity of sports these days... steriods, substance abuse, flipping the bird, gambling, now even dog-fighting... all these distractions are so unnecessary and foolish on the part of the players, but none of them very much effect the outcome of games. And besides, the infractions are almost always by players.

This is a whole other level. The thing that separates this from all that other stuff is that it can easily effect the outcome of a game, AND it's been done by and with complete knowledge of the head coach and perhaps even possibly the owner himself. This is what makes this so outrageous.

Any team that has faced the Patriots recently in playoff games and even in the SB now has the right to question what was done to them and how it might have effected the outcome of their bids for the championship. That's what's so sad about all this and why, for the life of me, I can't understand why even one Patriots fan would try to trivialize this thing.

What part of how freakin' serious this is to the NFL don't they understand?

After all the shit has hit the fan and after everything is done, Goodell has no other option than to send a very, very decisive and severe message to the Patriots. In fact, I predict the punishment will be so severe that you're going to see many Patriots fans in complete disbelief.

show me where he said it was ok when he was with the Pats? Plus if he did come out and say something would he be a HC right now? NO

There is no proof that it was done during Mangini's stay there. Further, when he was there he did not call the shots, the HC does. When Mangini gets caught cheating then we can judge him. Since he hasn't it would be silly even consider otherwise.
