Mike and the Mad Dog have been discussing the Pats game for quite awhile this afternoon and Dog said, "Jets fans tend to be very immature," after Mike railed on about the cheering at the game. He also said he didn't think they were "knowledgable," as evidenced by the fact that some consider putting Clemens into the game a better move than having a healthy Chad under center. Mike later added, "Jets fans are younger and alcohol tends to be a bigger factor than Giants games. It's a different crowd. There's more movement in the stands from week to week (I'm paraphrasing), in other words, you see the same fans in the same seats at Giants games. At Jets games, you see different people in the seats from week to week."
It's been common knowledge for a while now that they both HATE the Jets. I don't think either one of them have picked the Jets to be successful since 99.
I don't mean to defend this moron, but in a sense he's kind of right. At least in my section it is musical chairs. Jet fans are young and fun and Giants fans are old boring stiffs.
I think he hit it dead on. Jets do usually act stupidly (reggie bush comes to mind) movement in the stands is a problem, there is never enough peopple who know when to yell and whatnot. The drinking part is because giants fans are lightweights, though.
I would say that the Giants probably have a wealthier fan base. I feel as if the message boards are far more reactionary and ridiculous than they used to be. I think the actions of the fans at the game pretty much speak for themselves, and I agree with their point that, at the very least, the members of the fan base who assumed Clemens would be a better fit based on preseason are a little ridiculous. As we saw, Pennington's performance in the preseason was absolutely nothing like his performance on Sunday. Neither was Clemens'. -X-

I think Mike and Russo are spot on with their comments. I love the Jets and most of the fans here are great but their is a sizable part of the fanbase that lacks maturity.
Mike and the Mad Dog have never said anything positive about the team. This whole situation with Chad just gives them even more reason to treat us this way. Right or wrong, their show is not where you want to go for JETS news.
I will never be interested in anything Mike and Mad Dog have to say. They have dark-sided and bashed the Jets for years - even when Parcels was here. The only time I ever heard them extoll the Jets was when we went 12-4 and went to the AFC Championship game in Denver.
who cares what these clowns think/ say. I am a jets fan to the bone and whatever these overpaid fools are saying doesn't effect that in any way.
