Moving on, in Baltimore, the Jets will face a defense just as good as the Pats, but an offense that's much less potent. I think the Jets can bounce back this week, and they'll need to because this is a tie-breaker game in the conference. From all indications, the Ravens may be vying for one of the two wild-card spots we're after.
a bit too soon to be concerned with the playoffs going into the second week of the season. this is a big game because we don't want to start 0-2 and need a win, simple as that.
Not really, every game in the NFL counts. If we didn't blow the Browns game and had shown up on O for the Bears game, we might have had the home game last year and who knows if we had won just one more game what would have happened then. Clemens will probably start against the Ravens, Mcgahee will probably run wild, and we will probably lose. I think this is the rebuilding year that should have happened last year. I'd be happy with 8-8.
of courese every game is important, but you need to win this game simply for the fact of winning this game, not because of playoff seeding. what if we go 15-1, then this win didn't mean crap in terms of wild card hopes, it was just one of our 15 wins, so the playoff ramifications of this win this week are irrelevant at this time.
