    Todays Performance

    Score 0-0
Ist Drive- Moved Ball into Pats Territory almost entirely in the air - Drive ended on a Fourth and 1/2 yard.

    Score 0-7
2nd Drive - Ist play 6 yard Pass , 2nd Play Rush no Gain , 3rd Play - Running for His Life Chad comes up a yard Short - Yeah a 3 and out but hardly on Chad.

    Score 0-7
3rd Drive- Ist Play 1 yard Run , 2nd Play Incomplete , 3rd Play Sacked (really creamed)

    Score 0-7
    4th Drive 66yards , 0 Rushing Yards , TD

Score tied 7-7 even though we are being totally outplayed on both lines.
We give up another Score before Half now 7-14 , we run out clock ( I dont count this as a Drive)

Score 7-14 Opening Kickoff TD Now 7-21 basically game almost over.

5th Drive - Drive to NE 39 , then Run for -2 and then Chad gets Creamed and Injured

Off Course we give up another Score 7-28 Game Over

Chads Hobbles on the Field to what turns out to be his last drive 70 yards a TD - a game again maybe at 14-28

NO we let NE hold the Ball for Over 10 Minutes get a FG 14-31 put Clemens in for Mop Up.

I know that this post was long
but in 6 Drives , 2 went for TDs and 2 others Went into NE territory and 2 3 and outs directly on the O line.

CHAD IS THE ONLY BRIGHT SPOT OF THIS WHOLE GAME.

I'll say what I said in another thread. If you any of you were one of the many cheering when Pennington (who just in case you haven't noticed is the leader of the team you root for) got hurt...give up. I swear to God some people make Chad seem like he's the worst QB in the league. 15-21 isn't that bad. Especially doing it without any running game thanks to an underachieving o-line.

Look, Chad played pretty well today. The defense played so poorly that there was basically no chance the Jets were going to win the game no matter what they did on offense.

He had a nice game, but again all his throws were of the short variety, with a number of twisting/leaping grabs by Coles/Cotchery. Against many of the mid level and lower tier teams in the league a game like today from Chad is more then enough to give the Jets a good chance to win. The problem of Chad's inability to stretch a defense is also magnified currently with a less then stellar backfield.

I think it's overstating it to suggest that Chad was a bright spot. However, I'll go so far as to say that other things made me more furious.

I like Chad, but he frustrates me NOT because of what he does, but because of what he can't do. I'll still feel better with him in the game than Kellen Clemens.

Chad is not, and was not the problem today. Of course, up against Brady pretty much every QB looks mediocre. So give it a rest.

Brady is a great QB, and he had all the time in the world sitting back there spraying the ball around. Give Chad 15-20 seconds in the pocket and he's probably going to do the same thing.

I, for one, had a few choice words for those in my section who cheered when he got hurt.

That aside...a) chad has close to zero protection b) why so many running plays? I know we cant throw every play but didnt we prove that we're so much more successful when he throws the damn ball?

I know chad's not the best QB there is...but he doesnt deserve to take the blame for today's embarassment.

    Chad was fine.

The defense was the problem. Chad was fine. He's always fine. Against bad defenses, he'll be very good. Against really good defenses, often he can be crushed, but today he was good.

We have to run the ball to set up the pass. It's how Chad is successful.

Chad was Chad. The very good Chad. It still remains that he brings down the running game and cannot engineer a comeback or stretch the field. I felt horrible when he was hurt, and repulsed when Clemens coming in was cheered, but I saw nothing to disuade me of the opinion that we most move away from Chad to move forward. I guess many people are happy wnough with QB mediocrity, and a very limited offensive scheme.

What about Coles? I know Pennington threw him the ball, but he still got open and made plays.

Our defense needs work. The offensive line sucks ass. The glaring difference (to me) between the Pats O line and our O line is that they protect their QB at all costs. Why do our QB's always have to run for their freaking lives?

Just mentioned this in another thread, but...

There is no inherent problem with Chad. As a previous poster mentioned, it's not what he does but what he doesn't do. You know what to expect from Chad. He'll manage the game well by making smart, accurate throws. In order for that to work, however, EVERYTHING else has to work, from the running game, to the D, to the ST. Chad will keep you in a game, but he won't put you back in it if one of those other areas falls apart. He doesn't have game changing ability. I like the guy. He's effective. The team, however, has too many holes to be effective with him as the QB. He needs a team around him like the Chargers or Ravens in order to achieve success, because he won't screw up the efforts of the talent around him.

I thought Chad was fantastic today

He showed his true leadership skills after he did his ankle and still tried to walk off the pitch normally

Then to come back on and play the way he did...

    He is very under rated

Lets hope that this injury is short term and he can get back asap
