I love the way Chad sunshiners just totally give him a pass on games where he was injured or didn’t start.

News flash – since the Chad era in 02 – the Jets are 39 & 41 – subtract around four loses from the 02 season where Teste started and we are 39 – 37. How many games Chad started since formally being named the starter is irrelevant to me because it is one of his fundamental responsibilities to start every game.

Chad is around 39 & 37 right along with the Jets. WTF – Chad is responsible for winning all the games but the TEAM is responsible for losing them? I remember on more than a few occasions Chad looking like a complete douche nozzle but the team still finding a way to win.

Wake up – get rid of the first eight games of his career before anyone had a minute of tape on him and you are left with a sub par quarterback.

he was talking about numbers dude. you take it as a personal affront to you that chads got a weak arm and doesnt put up numbers. its the truth. look at chads numbers....the only really solid one is completion % and thats because he throws a very accurate 5 yard pass.

uh trent dilfer had zero to do with that SB win. the ravens defense in 2000 was probably the best if not the second best in the history of the sport. all dilfer had to do was not turn it over. he didnt even need to score because the defense could put up 10-14 points a game.

    VERY BAD EXAMPLE

The way I read that article is that he thinks Chad should be replaced as the Jets QB because he doesn't put up good fantasy numbers. That's how it's written.

There's no way a QB with a stronger arm than Chad Pennington could possibly be successful in the NFL..

and mcnabb played through a sports hernia and a broken ankle....im not saying hes not strong, he is. if i rember grossman went to the SB though, right? how many QBs have arm stregnth like penny go to the bowl? sure he is accurate, and a smart player. but in this league if you dont have the talent, then you shouldnt be here. even though hes smart, can you honestly say hes wiser than peyton or brady? no way. they are both acedemic and physical specimens.

no, he said he was a life long fan, reeled off a few well know guys...and the article is about fantasy, and the fact that he knew with chad on his fantasy team it would be a long year, and that bothered him. that he couldnt find a redeemable way to keep him on the team. instead of being sensitive, how about you take it as waht is what. he said kellens name b/c he could be a jets qb that actually puts up numbers that would make you want him.

i dont think he was calling chad a poor choice for a fantasy QB, and that bothers him....

Don't worry, I heard to compensate for the fact that Pennington CAN"T THROW!!! Schotty has taken all pass plays out of the gameplan. I sure hope T Jones can run.

You missed my point completely. I was pointing out that when you have someone like Dilfer, someone who is NOT an elite QB, which Chad is NOT, you still can win a super bowl... however, in order to do so, you also need a great team around him. Very similarly to Dilfer, in order for Chad to succeed he needs a GREAT team around him.

I drafted Chad and frankly, I think he's going to have a great season. 3500 and 22 is about what I expect. Not league-leading, but solidly in the top ten.

Us sunshiners don't understand it because its not accurate. I'm too fat and stupid to look it up, but I'm sure Chad's record as a starter is MUCH better than 39-37. He didn't play in alot of those 37 losses. When he and his weak arm plays, the Jets win a majority of their games and make the playoffs. He still starts because the Jets can't find anyone better than him. Must mean he is pretty good.

Hi, I'm FatStupidLoser. I'm a Chad sunshiner. Chad is my hero! And according to my wife he is cute as a button!:breakdance:

Fantasy Football and Chad Pennington should never be mentioned in the same sentence other than this one.

I hope threads like this stop. Remember, nobody said Chad was going to play again last spring. Well, he not only proved everybody wrong; he went 16 games and got us into the playoffs with no real ground game threat.

Everybody loves an underdog. Including me! Remember super bowl 3; everyone said we would lose; it was just a question of how much - we were 21 point underdogs. Guess who one; we did. And we dominated the entire game on both side of the line of scrimmage. The only one who guaranteed victory was Joe Willie.

Don't count Penny down just yet. He is a fighter. He may not have a rocket arm and be showboat, but the man could very well surprize us all.

Reading this article makes me think one thing:

Man, wouldn't it be awesome if Matt Leinart was our QB this year?
