    Pettitte with a very gritty performance. 120 pitches, 7 innings. It seemed like he didnt have his very best stuff, but still a good performance.

    great game for andy.. 120 pitches..3 runs.. i hope to see joba next inning for youk, ortiz, and manny. that would be awesome.. hopefully the yanks are leading as well

    Heckuva pitched game. Both sides. Pettitte just exceeded his season high. Diasuke, fortunately, had his typical one-inning battle with idiocy in the first. It will be interesting to see where both managers take this one from seven.

    Ugh. . . poor Diasuke. A nicely pitched game, but he takes the pipe in the 7th.

    kay said since july 20th johnny is batting .351.... a curtain call in yankee stadium isnt special.. most everyone gets it.. but it was a big homer for him

    the 0-1 to hinske was outside. the ump called it a strike, and that screwed up that AB.

    when Joba shook off posada, I knew he was going with a slider. he loves throwing that pitch
