I think he jump starts his career this season in Carolina. He's always struck me as a capable QB in a shit situation (shituation?).

I agree with that. I think he has the talent to be successfull and with the Carolina O-line he should be by midseason since Delhomme sucks

I think it's always been a confidence issue with Carr, and obviously in Houston there was no way to ever build up that confidence. If he's able to have a few games to get his head right (say if Delhomme gets hurt), then I think he can have success. PI don't think he'll ever be more than just good, but if he can get there the Panthers have a lot of weapons to assist him.

I've always thought of Carr as the most excruciatingly irrelevant player ever. A number one draft pick that's not a bust, but has also done NOTHING. A lot of it has to do with his team, but he's almost been nonexistent. Not good, but not bad enough to talk about either.

I think Carr has potential to be a very solid QB. Being stuck in Houston for all that time - who knows if he's really good or not? The fact that he was able to survive that experience is a good sign.

That being said, I don't see him unseating Delhomme barring injury.

The Panthers cut Weinke in March.

Weinke is no longer in the NFL.

Carr is still holding on to the ball too long. Toss up between who the better QB is between Carr and Delhomme imo, but Delhomme represents the fiery nature of the team much better than Carr.

I completely agree, I think Carr will be the starter in Carolina before season's end. Also, when he does get his shot, I believe he will do extremely well.

    Me too.

I thought he had excellent upside potential for Carolina, or anybody else who had a half decent offensive line. It turns out that he really was damaged goods and unable to stand up in the pocket anymore. It is what it is.

His 68%+ completion percentage last year was just like Chad's this season, a ton of dinks and dunks and nothing that mattered worth a damn, which in retrospect is why Houston dumped him.

They haven't exactly gone great guns with Schaub either, so it's clear they have a lot of work yet to do on the offensive side.

Carr looked like a major wuss last Sunday vs Tennessee.
I don't want him to ever be on the Jets roster even as a 3rd string QB.

Carr has no place in the NFL at this point. He's confirming all the things that the Texan's coaching staff was saying about him after last season.

In truth, nobody has been really happy behind Carolina's offensive line this year, but Carr has looked absolutely shellshocked when under a rush.

His rookie season messed his head up for his entire career...he was hit SO MANY times that he'll never be able to get over it.
