The guy was nothing but a disgrace to the organization. I think some veteran guards will become available as pre-season rolls along and we will jump at the opportunity to pick one up. It's good to see the organization standing firm on this and not taking shit from the players. We don't need a guy here who isn't commited to winning football games for us. We'll see you later in the season and boo your ass out of the Meadowlands.

I have one real issue with this (which I'm sure has been covered 100 times) ... How can these players sign a contract for X-dollars, have 3 years remaining, and start asking for more money? Should I call my mortgage company and tell them that because the housing market is bad, my house's value is now lower and I want to a lower mortgage. I mean really what the frick ... doesn't a contract mean anything anymore? To the Pete Kendalls of the world, man up and live up to the deal you signed. Sadly the world is filled with one way scumbags like Pete Kendall who can use the always safe excuse that they are being screwed by "evil corporate america". Perhaps if Pete were in Hawaii the last 2 years I could at least somewhat understand his frustration, but hes been home watching the Pro Bowl just like me. And yeah, reality check: The team did just get worse and that sucks.

Hey at least he's not a Dolphin. Let him go play somewhere where don't have to see him twice a year. I just hope the O Line will deal with this and Chad won't be on his back more this year.
Well, at least it's over. Make no mistake about this, thuogh, for those who are glad he's gone. Our OL is weaker in the short term then it was last year. Bender may become an excellent guard at some point, but right now, he isn't, and it will affect the outcome of games.
When you say "for this season"..... What dfoes that mean - Prorated... He got (Stole) 3.9 million dollars from the Jets.. If he gets to keep that, it means the Jets paid him over FIVE FREAKING MILLION DOLLARS FOR 1 STINKING YEAR... If this is true Pete Kendall just robbed the Jets....

To get a 4th round puck for an aging player at a non impact position is amazing.. This is almost as good as getting a 4th round pick for a HC that was about to be fired, maybe not but still a great move nonetheless..
