If that was the test, D'Brick gets an F-. He got knocked off the field on that first interception return.
I don't think the sky is falling. We're not an 0-16 team after one horrid game. I think that we need work on certain areas and this last game was a perfect storm of everyone playing really bad. When one group plays bad it affects another group. Think OL and RBs. When this is multiplied as two groups don't play well, it can spread to everyone else. Its going to be a crazy week at Hofstra, but I can see this game being humbling and lighting a fire under some guys that have looked a little bit too comfortable. That'd be you Kerry Rhodes, and Chad Pennington. I'm not down on those two but I think they have not looked like they should.
I think we'll go with at least 2 wins. Keep in mind Justin Miller didn't play in that game. He has 98 speed in Madden.
I think you are the first person to bring up Rhodes playin like sh!t. I agree that he got beat in his position badly. Nice observation. It seems that many have overlooked it though.
Let's face it...the season is over and I just sold my tickets for this year. Let's just try and get through it and look forward to the draft.
The one thing I give Brick a "pass" on is his being laid out on that play. The guy was completely blind-sided and was leaning towards the sidelines when it happened- of course he's going to fly like a birdie.
Not the first time this PS that Rhodes got beat. Agaisnt the Falcons he twice got beat for big gains.
Get off Rhodes. You all know he is focusing on Hollywood and can't be expected to be "100% mr football player". Jeez.
Not true...he threw an INT that was returned for a TD just like Brady did. Chad actually did him one better
I see a bit of a setback this season from last. 10-6 vs some pretty bad teams last year. This year is gonna be a bit tougher in terms of schedule, plus we still need a few more pieces to get this team to be a consistent winner. I`m gonna go with 6-10 maybe as good as 8-8 if the Jets can pull 2 games out of their asses somewhere(hopefully sweep NE or at least get 1 from NE and maybe we can finally beat the Eagles for the first time ever?). The schedule as I see it today: NE - L @Balt - L MIa - W @ Buff - W @ Giants - L Phi - L @ Cincy - L Buf - L Wash - W Pitt - L @ Dall - L @ Mia - W Cle - W @ NE - L @ Tenn - L KC - W ------------------------------ ain`t lookin too good right now. Maybe we can pull 2 games out, possibly 3. All depends on what route Buffalo is headed because they always seem to beat us here at Giants Stadium no matter what and Dallas on Thanksgiving Day will be tough. Not sure how tennessee is going to be but they won`t be as bad as they were last year with Young @ QB. Hopefully Baltimore`s offense makes some huge mistakes because thats the only way I see the Jets beating them otherwise it`s a loss against that D. We can only predict and hope to be wrong on our losing picks and hope to be right on our winning picks. That scares me too. The games the Jets are supposed to win scare me more than those they aren`t supposed to win.
Not at all. "I range the fields with pensive tread, And pace the hollow rooms, And feel (companion of the dead) I'm living in the tombs." - Abraham Lincoln Hehe.
That post ruled. An A++. I'm not a big fan of Gen. Meade, by the way. The guy had no TRUE innate sense of self and what it was like to lose, even in small doses. Ego, ego, ego. So he called Lincoln a fool and a baboon (publicly, which Lincoln took in stride), OVERSTATED Union losses because he didn't have a REALISTIC view. He was hired, quit, rehired. Good strategist, but sheeooot. Man, I really need to start a Lincoln thread. I will soon. The Emancipation Proclamation was 'law speak', which is why it's not a 'great speech', by the way. Yah, Lincoln, lawyer, etc. What some folks don't know is that nearly half the deaths from the Civil War were from typhoid. Latrines, pissing and chitting in the Potomac. Lincoln's own children were victims in D.C. I'll be here all night.
I've always viewed Rhodes' coverage skills as one of the weaker points of his game and I'm hoping he's going to improve in that respect... but I also think they are broadening his assignments more this season as well since he's such a gifted athlete. I still think it's way too early to bash him for it but it's definitely a point of concern.
"I screeched and threw peanuts." - Abraham Lincoln No, he didn't really say that, but I would be beside myself if he had. He looks like he wanted to, though. I can live with that. Hehe.
