Finally, it's a done deal The Jets have signed their first-round draft pick, former Pitt CB Darrelle Revis, who missed the first 19 days of training camp in a contract dispute. The club is arranging a news conference at its Hofstra headquarters. Still no word on the contract details, but we'll keep you posted. http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/
Come Onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn...hell Yea...i Expect Him To Start Week 1 Vs New England, And Im Not Kidding
Seriously dude, do you even understand contract negotiations? Or business for that matter? We all know he's a Mangini guy or else he wouldn't have been drafted. Business is business and he was doing what was in his best interests, while the team was doing the same. To anyone whom condemns him for being a smart business man, I got a bridge over in Brooklyn to sell ya. I am psyched he's finally going to be in camp. Thank goodness it wasn't all preseason. Now let's get all our guys healthy and begin the 2007 season intact!!! Go Jets!
I understand where you are coming from but what the hell does a bridge in Brooklyn have to do with it. That's to be reserved for the guy who wants to buy beach front land in Las Vegas.
I hope that Tanny folded and gave him the 5 year deal, or a 6 year deal with the final year voidable. That's all Revis wanted, and deserved based on those drafted around him. I want this guy psyched to be a Jet. It's going to take some time now. I'm glad Barrett is healthy ond with the team, but he looked flat out poor against the Falcons meager wide receivers. And if Dyson was ever in any jeapordy of losing his job to Miller or Poteat, Revis is essential to our playoff hopes.
