That's a good stat. The Coin toss rule was probably established at a time when O and D were given equal rights and therefore, was a fair system. Now that the rules have changed to favor score-happy, casual fans, the offense is definitely at an advantage. Based on that advantage, it probably is time to adjust the overtime rules to account for it.
I'd keep the current system with one change--each team gets the ball at least once. After that, sudden death.
no they need to use the college system.......cause OT games are usually decided by whoever wins the coin toss wins.....................?
i dont mind the current system....i actually prefer it over the college system what is the % of teams that won the toss and the game, but scored on a drive other than their 1st(had to punt, but still won)?
