    The heat is bad.

I think it's funny how people were dogging my comment about a hot Saturday afternoon start for Hughes this weekend. Even though I didn't mean to put a spotlight on the weather conditions, it may actually be a factor in the game.

    It's legit.

Karstens and Hughes are coming off of long DL stints...So of course they're not going to be in top shape...But the heat has clearly wore down Karstens...The velocity is down, missing pitches.

Villone was warming up, wouldn't be surprised to see him next inning.

sox can't have much left in their bp after the first two games..that may be our advantage late

It's 96 degrees out there. I'm not surprised pitchers are getting fatigued.

And you can't blame Cashman for "not fixing the pen" when you're forced to go to your mop-up guy in the second inning. Those aren't the situations GM's prep for.

But wasn't your comment more about the pressure of the game (because more people would be there during a weekend day game) as opposed to the physical conditions?

Add Bukvich to the fatigued list...Fastball 91 mph so far this inning, including an overthrow. He was pitching 93-94 earlier...And the other night was hitting 95-96.

Yeah I know man. I said I was in rant mode earlier. Ask MisterMoss about ignoring me when I start ranting. LoL.

Yeah, but I thought I made it obvious I was discussing how while that wasn't the point I was making that day, it was interesting that it could wind up being a factor.

I'm not trying to take credit for something I didn't say or mean in hindsight bro. I'm a pain in the ass, not a dick.

If we lose this game the worst part of the loss will be that it doesn't go to Clemens

Anyone know why Sterling says "Il Colmodullce" or whatever it is when Abreu homers? Sounds like the guy was fighting with the Italians in WWII or something.

looks like we're willing to throw this game away even though we are only down 2 runs with three at bats left

Why would you even attempt that on Cano? I'm not watching the game, but was his back like totally to the play? Even so, the guy has a canon attached to his shoulder. He's lazy, but he can fire a ball like a rocket.
