It tells us that they haven't been paying attention to what Delgado had been doing in the previous 19 games. During that period he's hit .361/.439/.667 with 5 homers, 12 RBIs and 7 doubles. It might be time for some to find a new whipping boy.
Posts like this really annoy me. I know Delgado has been hitting lately. Either Tomko doesn't or he doesn't care, either way it was pretty shocking to me that a righty would rather pitch to Delgado over Wright in that situation. Also, don't post equivocal bullshit like "It might be time for some to find a new whipping boy" when you're quoting my post. He certainly hasn't been my whipping boy over the past few weeks and I haven't seen anyone else bashing him either.
spare me 3rd, any member of the Mets organization is your whipping boy as soon as they blink their eye the wrong way...Thats just the way you are:you demand an unheard of type of excellence out of your teams, as is seen by your frequent in-game posts that are simply pessimistic and defeatest one-liners Until the day comes that I see you manage even a little league squad, I don't pay any attention to your overly-critical second-guessing of Willie Randolph. I could easily mill through old game threads and find you ripping Delgado but I'd rather not waste my time.
I'm sure you could find more people then me ripping him in old game threads, and deservedly so, but not recently. Outside of Glavine and Mota there aren't any players I dislike unless they're playing like shit.
wright is pretty good. by the way, thanks fox for cutting out of the fucking game to show us Bonds ABs. I mean, it's not even like he's 1 HR away.
I sent FOX a complant saying I dont like how they're cutting away from the Met game and they dont even do a split screen.
Fox is to baseball coverage what cancer is to killing people. Not quite as bad as the heart disease that is ESPN, but still horrible and depressing and you just wish it would go away but it keeps coming back.
Gee, Tim, I guess the Mets would be the same place without Perez and Maine that any other team would be without their top two starters.
wasn't he one of those lefty rookie clowns that dominated the mets last year? i know there were alot but his name sounds familiar.
delgado swinging at every pitch, including one at his feet and one inside. terrific at bat there. we're making stults look like he's the ace.
Delgado almost screws up yet another easy play at first base. Was he this bad in the field last year?
