I love the Jets but faith? Give me a break. We have had 3 or four teams which were strong competitors for a title in the entire history of the franchise. The league as a whole is at best mediocre and the Jets are currently part of the mediocre. There are probably 3 or 4 teams which are strong contenders and we play a couple of them and a Bengals team with a great QB. The rest of the league could be better or worse but we are still a team looking to distinguish ourselves from the pack. We probably go somewhere between 6 and 10 and 10 and 6 which is just about where any team in the NFL falls except a handful of the very weak sisters. This team needs a monster year from at least 2 players who weren't on the team last year in order to go 10 & 6 again.

For all I know your a Die hard that doesnt miss a single game. If thats the case and You dont have faith in your team to do what no one thinks they can do then Your Not a real Jets fan. I have missed at least 10 Jets games in the last 40 years. I root for my team good or bad. I witnessed the miracle Mets of 69 so I know anything is possible. When I buy a lottery ticket I even think about how I'm going to spend the money for at least 10 seconds.
That's funny me and my wife discuss winning the lottery and we would travel around the country for an entire Jets season!

I can realistically picture this happening. In the near future we win a super bowl. On the day after Champ posts, It's been 1 day since we last won super bowl ??. We don't win the next year. i don't expect the jets to win the super bowl every year, i am not going into this year saying "this is the year!" i am going in excited because this team has a future and young talent and could go anywhere from 7-9 to 11-5. and if they make the playoffs and lose like last year, i won't be happy but i KNOW they are building towards something and are getting closer and closer.
And maybe Rhodes? The guy was the biggest probowl snub last year, but didn't win the SB so in your eyes he sucks.

That is a large leap in faith for a team that may not win a super bowl for the next 38 years; who knows champ? But look at years past in other teams that have gone 3-13 then 13-3. Which LB's, DL, OL players do you have in mind? Could they have been filled in this offseason? How much would it have cost the team cap wise? Would they all fit well into our offensive and defensive schemes?
