Good point champ, I believe Rick Flair would agree (as do I). It's the offseason and the strength of schedule is something people discuss a lot. I think Vision makes some good points in regards to that conversation.
It means that he still has passion for the team, and hasn't spiraled into being a bitter old man yet.
If you or anybody is so worried about the schedule then they already have grave doubts about us winning the CHAMPIONSHIP this year. If instead of doing a knee jerk reaction & assessed the team yourself you may see what I am talking about. Again when we are 0-39 what will you be saying?
I will be saying "we will get it next year!" That’s the Nature of the beast. As I grew up a Jets fan in the Bronx I would see Giants fans and so called jets fan's switch they’re affiliations to other teams that just so happened to be in the super bowl games. Hope or Faith gets you NOWHERE. Superior players with ability will get us to the promised land which right now we have in very, very, very short supply no matter if you choose to believe that or not. How about you enlighting all of us what players you see on the team that has superior qualities & have SB caliber talents. Why not honestly look at the team before flaming me & maybe you will come across as someone who has some FB sense
this team does have a lot of talent and is on the way...no, probably not this year, but that is mostly because they are not at the level of hte Patriots or Colts YET. as far as superior players: - thomas jones is not one of hte best in the league, but he IS good and can combine with leon for almost 2000 yards. - coles and cotchery are very good 1 and 2 receivers and can each put up 1000 yard seasons and have shown they can make clutch catches - the line is young and has potential to be good for years - Vilma and Rhodes are pro bowl caliber players ane revis and harris may be great too. bryan thomas seems to be hitting his stride now and dyson and hobson are very cabable players - not to mention on special teams, we have a very clutch kicker and one of hte best returners in the game. ....and while chad certainly isn't the best, when healthy he can make the accurate throws and quick decisions to win games. this team is not NEARLY as average as you make it out to be. did they overachieve last year...maybe, but they were better than all the teams they beat and not that much worse than the ones they did not (look how tough they played the colts, bears and pats). the important thing is as opposed to 2 years ago, they now have youth, a good coach and a foundation to build off of...this is a team that will be a legit super bowl contender very soon
Yep it is about fans wringing there hands cause they already know that we lack the superior talent to be WORLD CHAMPIONs at the end of this upcoming season. So BS threads like this one are dreamt up to help fans rationalize before hand why we will again be losers at the end of the season come Jan when they can spill big old croc tears complaining how terribily hard our schedule was. Again if you feel your team is the best then the very least of your worries would be the schedule since to be the best you have to beat the best. FB & sports in general is real simple you are either the winner & get the kudos or the loser & get NOTHING like we have gotten for the last 38 years
Sorry IMHO you are TOTALLY over estimating the team & I mean totally for now & the future. The only assets among the starters that I see are Mangold & Rhodes (If his play continues) & BG. Outside of that we do not have another superior player on the roster. I am not counting TJ or Revis or Harris since I have not seen them in action yet
