I agree for the most part, but I'm not all that confident about us beating the 'boys in dallas on thanksgiving. I think they're a lot better than people make them out to be. Beating pittsburgh might also be a stretch and beating miami and buffalo twice each is for sure.
I completely agree... from what I saw Lemon played pretty well, and he isn't one hit away from being scrambled eggs. Green might do alright this year but he's definitely overrated.
isnt it friggin sweet we play on turkey day this year?!!!!!!! i love it!!!! make the world watch jets football! is it almost time for the season??!! i cant wait much longer!:jets:
How the hell could you not think it's tough compared to last year's? We played 4 games against teams with a winning record last year. Of those 4 games, we won 1 and that was coming of our bye. Of our 6 losses 2 were against teams with a losing record and one against a team that was 8-8. This year we have 7 games against teams that had a winning record last year and 4 more against teams that were 8-8. Sure nobody knows how they will do this year but to say it's not tougher is just to be in denial.
We don't have all the walkovers this year like last. Detroit, Cleveland, Tennessee, Oakland, Houston, and Green Bay.... those were some bad teams once the season started. I' don't think many of these teams will be that bad once the season starts. You can never tell, but the away games seem to be the killers. I don't expect to beat the Ravens after playing the pats. I don't expect to go into Cincinnati and win. I don't expect to beat Dallas on Turkeyday right after playing the Steelers, I would take one of those right now. In Miami and New England is going to Bad because it always is. And the Titans are going to be tough, but we should take care of business at home. 10-6 or 9-7 is what the record will be around.
The Jets will always have a generally medium-hard schedule in the AFC East. Dolphins and Bills always play tough and the Pats are a very good team. The Cowboys are tough to beat on Thanksgiving, and assuming the Bengals aren't all together incarcerated by Week 7 they could be tough as well. Lets be honest, gimme-games are hard to come by in the NFL.
Seriousley. The one year where they should have played it conservative and just feed the man beast known as LT they don't. They could have gone to LT every single play and the Pats wouldn't have had an answer.
Wow what you posted is so wonderful & terrific! Now what happens when we again are not SB winners making us 0-39 in the last 39 years what does your post mean then?
haha, umm what happens? well we probably will try again in the offseason to build a team good enough to win a SB. What does my post mean then? it means the same thing as it does today, that we have no idea if the schedule is tough or not in mid july. Good post though, you really set me straight.
i dont think you can blame cameron for marty getting away from martyball.....thats why he isnt the head coach anymore.
There are only 3 games on the schedule: Cleveland and Miami x2, for which a playoff spot would be a major upset. Buffalo x2 is the next weakest opponent. Now obviously things can and do change from year to year but there's no question the Jets have a rough schedule going in. And if either Buffalo or Miami are this year's surprise team then the Jets have a VERY rough schedule.
Welll since you are Vision I thought when you posted what you posted that you were going to foretell us what fate had in store for us this year. If you did not then it makes ZERO difference how hard or easy the schedule is/was if we again fall short of being SB champs. As for building a team that made me laugh when we have starters on the team who were REJECTED by the 31 other NFL teams. That does not sound like we have SB caliber players does it now?
Champ if this is your attitude then why bother reading about the Jets or visiting this board? If this is your attitude wouldn't that mean that nothing said about the Jets or done by the jets means anything until they win the superbowl? Does anything we talk about have any significance to you unless we win the superbowl? Does anything you say about the jets have any significance unless we win a superbowl?
Last year there were alot of teams penciling in W's when the Jets were on the schedule. Turns out all the doubters will spout how we had the easiest schedule ever (not really true but whatever) even though in the beginning of the season it was hard to look at it and envision 8 wins let alone 10. I can not see doing it in reverse. You never know what team is going to have injury/chemistry problems or can be snake bitten. I know it is fun in the offseason and all but calling a game a W or L is just as difficult as picking the winning lotto numbers.
Cmon now you know the answer to your own question. If you do not shame on you for not keeping up with the news. Contact one of your buddies & I am sure they will update you
Look fellow it is very, very simple the schedule is the schedule & if you want us to be the BEST & strongest team around then it does not matter not 1 iota if the schedule is hard or easy since if you are the BEST you will just breeze thru it. Did you ever hear the saying to be the BEST you have the to beat the BEST. So if you believe that the season is played to win the SB then the schedule is just a vehicle to winning a CHAMPIONSHIP plain & simple
I don’t remember reading anyone saying this season would be a breeze. It was a simple break down to the perception of the teams on our schedule based I'm sure on how they played last year! I think everyone’s problem with you is you’re so negative! Just a little enthusiasm or god forbid a little over placed faith in YOUR team!
