Palmer has 78TD's and over 10,000 yards in 3 years of playing time. Unlike Rick Mirer and Jeff George, Palmer is actually on a HOF pace.

I agree it is early to declare him HoF bound, but as Biggs pointed out... he's certainly much further down the path than the other 2.

All that making the playoffs prove is that your good enough to make the playoffs it has very little to do with being an elite team that can win a championship. It is rare that mediocre teams win championships it is common for them to make the playoffs.

Is it common for them to make the playoffs three times in five years? Usually teams that win the Super Bowl have gone to the playoffs a few times before breaking through. Add to that the fact that we have New England in our division, that makes it a lot harder to get in. Not necessarily saying we're "elite", but we've been there enough times for me to feel like we belong and we have a chance once we get there.

agreed! But Chad has to play well in the cold of DEC and Jan. If so, we can go far!

We have to beat the Dungy lead Peyton Manning team that has won the big one going forward and that is what we plan for. Not the previous chokers.

Say what you will about the Ravens they have a better Defense than us and a new Rb McGahee that Kills us everytime he faces us.

The Dolphins and Jags have better defenses than us and that is what wins championships most of the time.

You will see about the Broncos!

This is a different year and a way better Charger team. Stop living in the past. They offense and Defense is wayyyyyyyyy Better than ours! You think our team is on the same level as the Chargers?

Living in the past? Weren't you the one that brought up the Raiders game in 2002 (or was that someone else)?

The diff is the Chargers are a better team and we are a worse one now. Are we on the same level as the Chargers right now?

They also just lost their head coach and both coordinators. Anything happens to LT and they could be in trouble. Who knows how Rivers follows up one good year? Not to say they will suck, but I don't understand why you feel the Jets should be building their team around matching up with San Diego and the Bengals.

New England is the team standing between us and a first round bye/second round home game--which is the key difference maker between reaching the playoffs and getting through the playoffs. If we don't finish ahead of New England it's first round on the road again. Those other teams are an afterthought, you might never even play them.

Do you think whoever we play in the second round is going to be any less of an opponent than the Pats? Do you think the Pats were thinking about us when they put their draft together. I say we should build our team to beat anybody and not one team. Each team has to be played differently. Don't get me wrong a first rd bye is huge but with this team it does not make a difference to me. We are not ready yet. I want a team built where other teams are drafting to try and stop us.

But you would prefer a top 10 pick, hard to build a team and still get a top 10 pick each year.

I think every team has to build to be the best it can be. You're the one worried about half the teams in the AFC, not me. I'm just pointing out that winning your division and getting a bye/2nd round home game is the primary factor in getting through to the Super Bowl, so New England is the team to worry about if you're going to think that way at all.

You think the Colts beat the Pats in the AFC Championship game last year if Manning has to run that offense in the fog in Foxboro with a hostile crowd drowning out his calls? How did that go in the past? He did he do at the Meadowlands vs the Jets in the cold in the playoffs? 41-0? Would you rather play San Diego there or in January at the Meadowlands?

Depends on the year and the team.

The fact is the colts won the big one and going forward they can beat anybody anyplace. Do you think the Colts play the patriots if the chargers fall on the ball and run out the clock in S/D last year. The Peyton that lost to the Jets is not the same person anymore. The Pats, Chargers and Colts are at a different level and we have to get there. They hope to play the Jets in the playoffs and where they play us does not matter. S/D beats us in no matter where we play.

We've beaten two of the three in the playoffs with Chad at QB, San Diego was out there. You can say we can't beat them a million more times, it doesn't change that fact.

In your opinion do you think we will beat the Pats, Colts or Chargers in the Playoffs if we face them right now this year.
