If there's a Met fan decked out like that and being an asshole then you have every right to defend your turf and boo the crap outta them. And don't generalize all Mets fans with the few guys who decide that they take more enjoyment from seeing the Yankees lose then the Mets win. I sure as hell don't give a shit what the Yankees are doing any more than any other team and only discuss them sometimes on here since Yankee fans happen to be on this forum and I happen to like discussing a bunch of different topics. I'd do the same thing if there were a contingent of Mariners fans on here with that team if that were the case. Don't be an arrogant prick and think that your damn Yankees are so important in all Mets fans lives that we just can't stop talking about them.
last night i was at the mets game, and three people were walking around in yankees hats and jerseys chanting lets go phillies. they literally walked around the upper deck for 25 minutes, chanting in people's faces "lets go phillies" with yankees gear on. this is the fuckin reason we chant yankees suck, because dumbass fans like these have nothing better to do than to come to shea and cause a scene. and we're the ones obsessed with our cross-town rival
In that case,i would tell you not only to say "Yankees suck" to them,but to shower them with beer too. I know the chant happens unprovoked at times,but as you pointed out,sometimes provoked. I'll bet they weren't even Yankee fans. But,3 people don't add validity to your claim that Yankees fans are the obsessed ones:wink:
That part was more of a joke :up: But that shit did piss me off last night. Sometimes you just gotta deal with that shit at the games though, even if you shouldnt have to.
That's absolutely a point when you chant that shit at the top of your lungs. I mainly started this thread for the unprovoked stupidity, but stuff like that is well deserved. Shower them with the beer and then crack them over the damn head for being such assholes :breakdance:
