conditional 5 which could turn to a 4, I like. Schefter said they may trade Culpepper with Jacksonville or STL being likely destinations

Whatever the price, IMHO this makes Miami a better team bottom line. Man, we really have a tough division.

It was just announced on ESPN News.

Edit: I take that back. He'll do something, but to what extent, I don't know.

Cleo Lemon should have been the QB

Miami may be a formidable opponent now.

Trent Green is not a good quarterback. This trade does little to improve that team.

This is a good trade for Miami. This will open things up for the offense and will help Chris Chambers.

Am I the only one that remembers Lemon tearing our secondary a new one last year? If he was in the whole Christmas game we would have been blown out.

If we had tailored are gameplan for Lemon it probably would have been abit different.

You've made another dumb post. Some things never change.

On the the topic at hand. A 5th round? That is a steal. Before he got hurt he was coming off of his 3rd 4,000 yard season with sub-par WRs. Had he not been knocked senseless I imagine he would've earned a 4th.

He is one of the best game managers and will really help the dolphins out a lot. He'll keep them competitive while they groom who ever that kid was that they picked up in the 2nd round in the draft. He can mentor him aswell.

I can see him there for 2 years before the kid is handed the reigns, and even then. I don't know what they plan to do with Pep now. He has no place there.

Please elaborate on how Trent Green is going to significantly make the Dolphins a better team?
I'm interested to see what Green does without a top 2 running back on his team as well as a top 2 tight end which he has had for the majority of his career. Not to mention, he had one of the best lines in the history of the nfl for all his years in KC.

On a side note, stop mowing lawns and get an education before you address anyone as dumb.

I'm sure I should be concerned, but for some reason I still can't bring myself to worry about the Fins. Maybe if they get off to a hot start. See ya in Sept.

He had one good drive in that game. The Jets quickly figured him out and shut him down the rest of the game.

As for getting Trent Green, the price is obviously right for Miami. He's certianly worth a 4th or 5th round pick. That being said, I am confident that Miami will suck this year. It begins and ends with the o-line and they just don't have one. That and the fact that anyone good on their D is now pretty old. I don't see them being very competitive, with or without Green.

Wow too bad the Jets did not have more foresight to get a 36 y/o QB with concussion problems that can be the savior to their franchise. I think this makes the dolphins the front runners for the Lombardi trophy..................... Tannenbaum sucks, where is Testeverde when you need him.

In all seriousness, while he was a good/very good QB, with their OL he is going to get drilled. He will not be able to hide from concussion problems with those 5 in front of him................ I am just as skeptical about him as I am about Coles not getting f'ed up in the near future as well.

Trent Green is getting pretty damn old...They are better with Green no question, but I don't even know if the crappy Miami Oline will be able to keep him off the turf.

    EDITED:

    1. Thats not the classiest thing to wish for and,
    2. Last time a Jets LB ended a QB's season, that team wound up with 3 superbowls.

I can't really bring myself to bash the Phins trading a second day pick for Trent Green since our own QB situation is far from solid, IMO. Green has had a great supporting cast in KC though, it will be interesting to see how his immobility factors in with the Phins' O-line issues. If he can click with their wideouts, it would open things up a bit for Ronnie Rootfeet, something their RB hasn't had since he was drafted.

I'm not a big Green fan at this stage of his career. He's done, and we'll see that. Not in the least bit worried about this pickup.
