Tom Glavine v Jamie Moyer (another ancient lefties matchup)
    El Duque v Adam Eaton
    John Maine v Cole Hamels

Eaton has been terrible for the Phillies. After today, standings should look like this:

    Atlanta 3.5 back
    Philly 8.5 back

The Mets should win the first two games, the thrid should be a pitchers duel.

Maine isn't catching any breaks. Having to face Webb and Hamels one after the other.

The 3rd game should be really interesting...Maine-Hamels. You have to like Hamels in that match up, but Maine is capable of matching zeros with him all night.

Last year at this time, the Mets went on an awesome tear (during a road trip). I'd welcome a 9-1 stretch again right now.

I'll be at the game thursday, should either be a really good pitchers duel, or a dominant performance by hamels. Either way im pumped

Well, the stirring win for Philly on Sunday certainly didn't carry over to Monday, as they got crushed by the Giants today. Mets go into the series tomorrow up 8 games on Philly.

A good Monday, as the Marlins dump the Braves 6-4. Mets go into the series tomorrow up 4 on Atlanta and up 8 on Philadelphia.

We've got all 3 of our studs going this series... If the bats can get going at all, we should have no problem taking 2/3 from Philly

A sweep will bury the Phils for the year, if they aren't dead already( I think they are)

For the Mets and their current lineup taking 2/3 in a series is almost like a sweep. Unless 1 or more of the Mets big hitters get hot they'll probably drop 2 of these games.

Wasn't Philly the self-proclaimed "team to beat" this year? What a joke.

Indeed. After starting out 8-2 in his first 10 starts, the Mets have lost his last two, scoring a grand total of one run. They need to do better than that, and hopefully the current lineup can do it.

It would be nice if Glavine didn't put the team in a multiple run hole in the first inning, as well.
