YES just showed the replay close up. It looked like he yelled something like "Mine" or something else like that. It didn't look like he yelled "I got it"
Do what it takes to win, if it happened the other way around no one would notice because we wouldnt say a word, Joe wouldnt come out and then no one would figure anything. Its sad when the bj's play harder than us.
They just showed the A-Rod play again on sportscenter and all he said was hah. I doubt this is the first this has ever happened and im pretty sure thisis a common event in baseball games. (waits for Mets or Red Sox fan to blow it out of proportion).
I didn't see it, but this is according to NYYfans... "Sportcenter just said this before the commercial break: "Bush league move for Arod, wait to you see what he did this time." Gotta love ESPNESN."
Turns out he didn't say "I got it", but just made a noise like "Hey". In that case, all is well. McDonald is a moron.
I don't know why people are jumping all over ARod for that play. Even if he did actually yell "I got it" it's not the first time it's ever happened in the sport, not by a longshot. Is ARod dirty? No. He plays the game like a sandlot kid. If someone thinks he's dirty, they had better leave the NBA games off the tv. McDonald blew that play, not to mention he was out of position anyway. Interestingly, the thing no one is pointing out is that neither Blue Jay standing there called the ball at all. So even if Alex DID call it, he was the only player in the area that did. ---------------------- So anyway, I'm glad to have walked out with a win. The game started off great, and for the most part, the Yankees were in a good position all night. Farnsworth is really becoming disappointing. Not as disappointing as Mr. Torre though. I wasn't very happy to see Clippard pulled so early. It felt almost as though Joe just needed to get his bullpen involved at all costs. The off day is inconsequential. The pen needs a week off to start recovering from the past 2 months. Joe lost any remaining credibility with me last night. And no, not for his sue of the pen. I don't know if anyone noticed, but around the third or fourth inning, they had the camera pointed at Torre on the bench. So what does old Joe do? He YAWNS! WTF?!?! Seriously Joe? Is the game scheduled too late for you? Perhaps we should move it up to the early afternoon? Or would that fall during your naptime? I've been very vocal against Torre, and his total lack of emotion, but this truly takes the cake. Your team has lost 5 straight, and for the first time in a while, you've put together a pretty nice offensive performance, and you are YAWNING in the dugout? Perhaps junc will chime in with some sort of defense of Joe, but at this point, I just can't imagine what someone could say to defend him. Even when I'm exhausted, if I'm doing something interesting, I don't yawn. Yawning is a sign of being bored or a combination of tired and relaxed. Either case is ridiculous for Joe. If he's bored, then he needs to go. This team needs someone who actually gives a damn to get these players to actually give a damn. If it's because he was tired, and was relaxed enough to feel sleepy, that's even worse. How can you be the manager of a team that is more than a dozen games out of first, and has just lost 5 in a row, and be RELAXED? I've been saying until I'm blue in the face lately, and I'm repeating it now. Joe must go!
If he screamed "Ha", then McDonald is stupid, if he screamed "Mine" that is a bushlike and a scumbag play
On the slap play he should not of slapped Arroyo's arm, he should have trucked him for standing in front of him
You are correct, if he would have ran him over the ball would have come free, we would have scored and had a chance.
The stadium can provide enough noise to make it hard to recognize, I fully hope a ball gets him between the 1 and the 3  (This is of course if he screamed "Mine")
What a piece of shit...well at least his marriage is probably over.....by the way in the rule book that's an out...retard umpire....
Why is that sad? how does the team one plays for determine how hard they want to win? These are pro athletes, and unless they share their attitudes with Randy Moss, they should give their all regarldess of the logo on their hat. I don't think your is correct at all, sorry.
Sports Illustrated published a poll two months ago of mayor league players asking who was the most unliked player in the major leagues - any wonder why it was AROD? Played like a girl against Boston, played like a girl last night against Toronto.
Unbelievable. You people will take any shot at ARod you possibly can. #1) Even on the REPLAY, you could HEAR something being yelled as ARod passed between both players. The stadium was NOT too loud to hear a voice that close clearly. (Not to mention, at that point, there were about 5,000 people left in the stadium. Once you've already lost the game, it's no fun sticking around to watch the Yankees celebrate on your field. And the game WAS over by the time this play happened.) #2) You can't hear what's actually said on the replay. This is a helluva lot of speculation. Amazing how people will defend Barry Bonds because he's never been "caught" but ARod is public enemy #1, regardless of any actual proof. (Not to mention an umpire 15 feet from the play, who didn't hear a thing wrong. The umps even met over it, and you could see the 3rd base ump saying he didn't hear anything.) #3) Like I said earlier, NEITHER fielder called for it. Whose fault is that? ARod's? Nice try. #4) Clark didn't even put up a fight. McDonald did. Clark didn't say a word until McDonald started barking at ARod. If Alex had that much effect on Clark not making the catch, why didn't HE argue? How about you guys just try coming down off your moral highhorses long enough to realize that if the "offending player" wasn't wearing pinstripes, it wouldn't be a big deal.
