Okay, apparently he got a little tightness/spasm in his left hamstring, but it doesn't seem serious. Thank goodness.
Unoffical word on Jose Reyes: He felt some tightness while swinging, and didn't want to risk further damage, so he didn't run hard to first and chose to come out of the game after he got there. He's walking around in the clubhouse.
The fact that Sosa was able to pitch so well, especially after having to wait 3 more hours, is very impressive. He's won me over big time. Sounds like Reyes is going to be alright, which is better news then us winning tonight.
Hill's been shaky his last two starts now, maybe needs to settle down a bit. Cubs really need the last game of this series, because even once we sweep the White Sox it'll be handy to have another W in the back pocket.
Hopefully with the success of Maine, Perez and Sosa, Peterson can finally live down the "10 minutes" comment.
Two other feathers in his cap are Glavine.................and the fact that Kazmir has still not dominated. Plus he was on the DL with arm troubles twice last year, just like Ricky boy said he'd be!
according to metsblog.com jose reyes says hes fine, but id still be cautious and sit him for todays game, idk how you guys feel about it, but its better to be safe than sorry.
yep, I say sit him also, one guy that we absolutely can't afford to have on the DL...day game after a late night.....take a seat today Jose!
No Beltran, Wright, or Reyes in today's lineup. If I walked into Shea this afternoon and saw that, it would be a hell of a downer. Gomez is in left today, Endy in center, and Green in right. Infield is Franco, Gotay, Newhan, and Delgado with Castro catching.
