What does having to be a Yankee have to do with this? I'm not saying what he did was smart, of course it wasn't. But to even mention it when we're talking about a baseball player RAPPING. You're pathetic.
I never called milledge garbage, reread that sentence and tellme what my intentions were in that sentence. Did you leave out the whole part before where I attempt to aim at his music?
The NTSB closed its investigation saying the crash was due to "pilot error". To me, thats an acronym for jerk.
Im sorry you got your Mets underwear in a knot b/c we made a joke or too about your boy L-Millz. Nothing which involved baseball
And not Millz as a person. Even another Mets fan said his flow was weak...What the hell is the problem?
ZOMG!!11Q!11 Yankee fans are obsessed with the metz! But really, I don't see how you can even bring Lidle into this Joe... but w.e. man
I admittedly no nothing about rap music, so if you say its irresponsible, I will take your word for it. In my mind, its in bad taste.
I was IN FAVOR of the rap! TCMC critiqued his RAPPING. Nothing said about the player, the person, or his play...I don't care. I just liked one of his bars on his rap. Joe is the one who brings up that bullshit.
Not rap music, offensive music is irresponsible for him at this point in his career. Character concerns followed by a rap song on bitches and ho's
If you think this wouldn't have gone on in the BS forum, you're nuts... This forum was a good call, it keeps this kinda crap out of the BS forum. Unfortunately we don't get much REAL baseball talk.
I understand where Joe came from. You guys should keep in mind he is not 23 years old, and hanging out in the park. (And I don't mean that disparagingly, I was one of those guys too when I was in high school.) He didn't get the meaning of the use of the word garbage in that context. If you look at from a view that not everyone is familiar with the same use of slang as you are, you'll see that he simply misunderstood. Also, it's a bit harder to justify, but I understand his take on Lidle as well. The final determination was pilot error, and the NTSB refuses to say who they believe was piloting the plane. (The common belief is that this is to protect his family, since his life insurance would be null and void if he were found to be the pilot in a negligent situation.) I personally would not have mixed both situations, since they are wholly unrelated, but I do get the point he was trying to make. WTF? Why do I have to be the voice of reason around here now? I'm the guy who was always fighting with everyone...
Met or Yankee, it doesn't matter. Milledge deserves all the bad publicity he is going to get from this. I'd get him on the first plane out of queens if it was up to me, problem is his value is too low at this point. It makes more sense to hope at some point he grows up and fulfills his potential.
Why? So he rapped, big deal? Other athletes have rapped as well. Lastings did it after rehabbing or whatever, basically on his free time... I don't see the issue here. The language and slang in his rap? Big deal, it's used by everyone.
Well, sometimes you have to do addition by subtraction. Even if you lose out in the deal, at least he won't ruin the clubhouse chemistry, which the Mets seem to have a lot of. You don't want to risk that.
