After taking 3 of 4 from Arizona, the Mets head to San Fran for a three game set with the Giants and that juicehead Barry Bonds...

Game 1 starter will be Ollie Perez..

    Let's Go Mets!

    SS Reyes
    3B Wright
    CF Beltran
    LF Alou
    1B Delgado
    C Lo Duca
    RF Green
    2B Easley
    P Perez

Wright is back to batting second, and Delgado is hitting in Alous spot.

Word is Orlando Hernandez is out for two more starts.

I was just thinking about my opinion on Bonds...

On ESPN they just did a profile on Babe Ruth's stats. He broke the all time home run record when it was at 165, then added an amazing 500+ onto his record. That's almost hard to comprehend. Thats like a God playing sports. Bonds will end up having the most home runs for a long time, but I'll never consider him the "Best" home run hitter of all time. He cheated, but at the same time so did all other "elite" baseball players of his time. Regardless of what was pumping through his veins, he did hit those home runs with his own hands and you can't take that away from him.

The fact that Bonds is an "in-your-face" arrogant dude who has a chip on his shoulder and more than anything wants to piss off baseball purists (read:white people) makes unduly hated. I respect Barry Bonds but he did cheat and kill off alot of baseball's pristine image and he'll have to live on in a gotta-hate-him scandal-surrounded infamy like Richard Nixon or Michael Jackson and for that I pity him

And now Ollie compounds the problem with another gopher ball. The way Zito is pitching, this game is probably over.

Even if you win 100, you still lose two months worth of games.
