This article mentions that we might be interested in Andruzzi and that Kendall may be exoendable, and that rumours haev surface recently. After having not made a move for a Guard in the draft to play this year, why the hell would he be cut?

Andruzzi has played 10 years and is being cut. That doesn't bode well for coming here and it shouldn't.

Andruzzi is done. His knees are shot.

He was a slightly above average guard while with the Patriots and cashed in with the Browns.

I can't imagine the Jets would want him.

Jets | Andruzzi interested in team
    Fri, 4 May 2007 10:47:11 -0700

J.P. Pelzman, of the Bergen Record, reports free-agent OG Joe Andruzzi (Browns) would be interested in playing for the New York Jets should the team show interest in him, according to agent Joe Linta

Kendall is old, underweight for his position and a liability in run blocking.

Kendall was really poor at the start of the season, routinely missing blocks and he can be bull rushed.I do like his experience and leadership qualities though.

I don't see the upgrade from either guy. They're just solid guards...

to get back on topic... I agree that Andruzzi is in no way an upgrade over kendall, but still if he wants to play here, he would be at the least decent depth. or he could beat out kendall and kendall could be the depth you never know until he actualy gets here, suits up, and plays.

Until we find somebody better (or until his body physically breaks down) I don't see us replacing Kendell. That said, I don't see Andruzzi as an upgrade. He's almost as old (think, did he REALLY play THAT WELL last season for the Browns?) and he has just as many physical problems. Though it's time to start grooming Kendell's long term replacement, I really don't know who on our roster is capable of doing that.

Kendall apparently gets under ERIC's skin. He did so in Arizona and was cut. Time to move on. The guy is too small and a liability in the run game these days.
