From the Boston Herald.. I figured you guys and gals would love this.. He's a lil fired up:up: Mangini responds: During his post-draft press conference Sunday, Jets coach Eric Mangini was asked if he was now even more concerned about the Patriots given how much prized talent New York?s AFC East rival has acquired in the offseason. The point was made: ?The road to the Super Bowl goes through New England.? Mangini?s response? First, he rolled his eyeshmy: . Then he answered. ?The road to anywhere starts with the next minicamp, then training camp,? said Mangini, whose relationship with Pats coach Bill Belichick grew frosty not long after he traded in his Patriots colors for Gang Green. ?Last year was last year. I don?t think they were the ones that won it. I think this is a process. We?re starting a new process.? Was he surprised the Pats traded for Moss? ?I think he is a good player,? Mangini said. ?They are a good team, and why they do the things they do, the question is better for Bill.? . . .
Dude I am sooooo disappointed to know your from the Bronx rooting for the Gaytriots...GOOD article by the way...Your repping the Boogie Down wrong...LOL...man I'm so disappointed in you at the VERY LEAST you could have gone Giants, what are you a Red Sucks fan too.
Haha... I just live in the Bronx.. I'm originally from Boston.. And yes I do love my Red Sox..
Yeah you can live, but dont let the Red Sox mascott find out you live in the Bronx. It almost killed him to see Papi in a NY hat. lol
The redskins won many a super bowls in april and never even made the playoffs. Lets play the games before you fit your team for more rings
Welcome to 3 days ago. This quote has been posted at least 50 times already. But what the heck, you're a Pats fan; they will be consistently living in the past from now on.... j/k. Hey, I couldn't resist at least one dig on a pats fan this week. It is a funny quote and obviously Mangini is sick of all this pats talk already.
ha ha that commercial... along with the TJ Housh one, are top 5 commercials ever. Terry Tate grabs the number 1 spot
Do you think the Pats ever stopped to think why there wasn't a pile of teams knocking on the Raider's door to offer a 2nd or even 3rd rounder in order to trump the Pats and get such a hot commodity in Moss? The answer is he isn't a hot commodity because most team's view the negative associated with Moss exceeds by a significant margin the positives of his talent...
Yep, but the Pats think they're smarter than everyone else. Time will tell whether they are or whether they've outsmarted themselves this time!
Hmm? That's my opinion, what kind of linkage do you want? Bill Belichick's locker with a "Coaches I Am Smarter Than" list on the inside of the door?
Trying to think of the head coach/manager types in the NY area who beat out opponents with significantly better talent. 1973 - Yogi Berra with the Mets as the Pittsburgh Pirates failed to take advantage of a real talent edge. 1979 - Fred Shero with the Rangers as the Philadelphia Flyers and the Islanders fell by the wayside. 2000 - Bobby Valentine with the Mets as the 5th best team in the NL get to the world series while Atlanta, St Louis, San Francisco and Arizona all fail. Those guys all got to the big game and lost with teams that you wouldna believed possible and opponents that looked very strong. The only guy I can come up with who won it all from behind was Mike Keenan with the 1994 Rangers. And Esposito had taken the Rangers to 105 pts 2 years earlier so it's not exactly like he was coming from nowhere. Anybody else got great over-achievers that I missed?
 No, just wanted clarification that is was your opinion. The way you stated it, it sounded like you read it out of an encyclopedia.
Gil Hodges and the 1969 Mets beat the great Baltimore Orioles in the World Series. How could you forget Weeb Ewbank and Jets in 1969 Super Bowl over Baltimore Colts.
