my sentiments exactly, we can use Brad Smith as the 4th or slot more effectively as McCarreins

I love Key, but do you really see Mangini bringing in a guy that has the potential to cause even a hint of disorder? He's always been about himself, looking for a better contract, a better situation -- not the team-first attitute Mangini looks for.

Key was a great jet and he is always welcome back here. He could be an ideal #3 if his ego allows him to be.

I wouldn't care, but don't let em go to NE. Like someone posted earlier they could start running 10 receiver sets.

Note to Tannenbaum: Go get Keyshawn!! What a perfect fit for Chad and the offense that the Jets run. I have a feeling that the Jets knew about this and are ready to let Keyshawn finish his career in NYC. Keyshawn as a red zone target for Chad. Wow! Better than having Moss.

The one thing about Keyshawn is he's too tall to be repeatedly concussed catching lobs over the middle from Chad. Probably worth getting him just for that. An inch or two can make a big difference. Cotchery = ZERO concussions last year and Coles = TWO. Washington got a backbender but nothing worse than that probably because he's too short, being below the Chrebet line...

Didint he used to open his mouth about Chrebet a while back? Thats why I say no. If he had half the heart Chrebet had with the physical attributes that Johnson had back then he would have been a hall of famer.

    Screw him.

sounds like the mentality of someone who holds a grudge over his favorite player being disrespected by Keyshawn rather then one who wants to win.

I used to hate him for this but the man does seem to have matured quite a bit since then.

People grow up...its been a long time and he's been through a lot...enough, I think, to understand his role and perform with maturity. This especially true because he now has an image to sell as much as his athletic ability seeing as how he is retiring in a little while and will probably be looking for a TV or coaching contract. He would also help ease the pain of the Moss signing...I know, that's like saying Danny Tartabull eased the pain of the Mets signing Bobby Bonilla, but at least its something...and a heck of a red zone target.

Bonilla and Tartabull stunk, that's not a good comparison.

I don't see how he fits our needs. Our best 2 receivers are more possession receivers, now we need another one?

    I like him, but I don't think he's a good fit here.

I don't think you can question Keyshawn's heart. His lack of speed is what keeps him from being an all time great, not heart. Keyshawn plays as hard and has as much heart and guts than anyone in the league.
