Maybe the Pats have panicked, as some are writing today...

Maybe they've overwhelmed their "system" with players that don't fit the profile...

Or maybe, likely, they've widened the gap between themselves and the Jets...

THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO STOP THIS JUGGERNAUT OF A FRANCHISE....

You can't stop Kraft and his ambition and his money....

You can't stop the genius (sorry Eric) of Piolo and Belichick who will again
have 2 first round picks next year...

You can't neutralize all the great players on NE because of their
outstanding depth and versatile disciplined roster...

YOU CAN ONLY DO YOUR BEST TO PUNISH THE ONE VULNERABLE, IRREPLACEABLE PIECE ON THE PATRIOTS CHESS BOARD....

Eric and the Jets have 2 games, 120 minutes, to find away to KILL BRADY and SLAY THE BLUE AND SILVER DRAGON.

Too bad Buddy Ryan wasn't still in the league. He paid bounties on QBs. Besides, last time we put a Patriot's QB out for a season (Bledsoe) we got Brady for the effort. They probably have another Manning backing him up now that we are unaware of.

Tangini signed a bunch of Defensive linemen and drafted a CB for a reason. This post is definitely on the right track.

When was the last time you said something remotely positive on this board?

Oh, I should condone attempting to intentionally injure someone instead of making a joke of it? Get a life.

They only had one first round pick this year...they traded 28 to SF to get a fist rounder in 2008.

Oh stop being so pseudo-sensitive. I honestly doubt he wants Brady to die, and I honestly doubt you don't know that.

I don't want Brady to die, or be permanently injured...I'd like to see the Jets finally lay some wood on the guy and nick him up to the point where he's making more mistakes.

I also have no problem if he gets his shoulder twisted around on a legal hit and has to deal with injury and rehab the way our poor boy Pennington has had to over the years.

My point is that there is really only one vulnerable chink in the Patriots armor. If fatherhood and banging supermodels can't bring this guy down, then it's up to our big ass ugly linemen to do the job.

It's tackle football gentlemen, and with the exception of Ellis closing hit last year, the Jets have been playing touch with TommyBoy.

Yeah, because "Stay classy, Jets fans!", a reference to "Anchorman", is very "pseudo-sensitive." At least get your term right. Try again.

He's not wrong though. Hurting Brady would be the easiest way to kill the Pats as a threat to us, although with our luck, Cassell is the next Palmer.

And the way we beat Brady and the Pats last year was by pounding him to the turf as often as we could, so he is right there. Obviously I'm not wishing for injury (or death), but I do want to make him hurt after the game is over and make him fear the Jets defense.

Well, I for one have no desire to hurt your players. Doesn't make me a better person, I just want to beat you guys at 100%. And yes, you did flatten Brady in that game.

How did the same game plan work out for you in the playoffs?

 What killed the Jets in the playoffs in my opinion was that they came with the same game plan.. Did you honestly think Billy wasn't going to adjust? ...

I just want Brady to be in pain after the game and for him to hear footsteps every time he goes back to pass. I want that of every QB we face. I want them to fear our defense. I don't wish injury, but I want to hit the QB and knock them down hard.

The main reason we lost in the playoffs (besides our inability to get a stop on 3rd downs), is that we are not nearly talented enough to come from behind, especially against a team that does not shoot themselves in the foot like NE. The lateral was deadly. Major switch of field position and basically gave away points. We needed to get a lucky break after that, and it wasn't going to happen. We're better this year, and we can hopefully overcome such plays.

    No running game.

And the inability to stop the 8 yard out.

Also major factors. And Thomas Jones and Darrelle Revis are major additions into helping that out. And stopping the run was a problem, too, and we took Harris to help that out.

Now that U got that out there who do U see can do the job? Pussy Ellis? DeW? Kimo or any of the TC fooder they brought in to play Kimo poistions. Lets see Hobson/Barton are to slow, JV is to small, all else are also TC fodder. Maybe Harris has the blitzing talent but at this moment he is a unkown

Don't worry, we'll be classy; I think, though we would never admit such a thing, we surely do not see any falloff in the competition in our division, especially with the Pats. I may not like NE at all, but you did pull off some extraudinary moves this off-season. I don't know how you did it, but you did.
On paper, you guys look tough this year, but you still have to play the games. You just never know. I would not wish this on Brady, but remember one Vinnie T; he used to play for us. If you recall, we were the favorites for the Super Bowl the year after we went to the AFC Championship game against Denver. I think the year was 1998. Remember, in the first quarter of the first game, Vinnie blew out his achilies and there went our season just like that. My point is, no matter how good you look, there is a certain amount of luck involved in terms of avoiding serious injury which can change a season in a second. However, I do want to emphasize that I do not wish harm on Brady, even though I can't stand him, I must acknowledge his accomplishments - it can not be denied that he will absolutely have a place etched for him in Canton.
