by may 10 (first day of mini camp) we should have a list of all the free agents we signed

and who is there on try outs

On how many rookie free agents he expects the team to sign …
Tannenbaum: Our goal is to fill out the roster, so it will be approximately 15 or so, give or take a few. And then we will have some other undrafted free agent tryout players. Last year a couple of those players actually made our team, so we believe in opportunity here. We will be contacting a number of those players as well.

    On Bender …

koweliski and wright were at mini camps on try outs so the jets will always give a rookie a chance

Sure, so teams can get their payrolls down to the cap. What percentage are difference makers?

    Kurt Warner
    Priest Holmes
    Rod Smith
    Wayne Chrebet
    Jake Delhomme
    Willie Parker

All undrafted free-agents. You can't plan on getting a star from the undrafted free agency pool, but it happens.

Um, you do know that the majority of that 20% doesn't even count against the cap right?

Here is the bio on Andrew Wicker, following core jet values, he's a team captain who played on all 5 positions on the O line during his run. These are the types of guys teams pass on because they are the master of none, but turn out to be great pros, not saying he will persay but i like his chances vs. our current backups at G and C.

I'm hoping Antwaan Applewhite gets a look. I'd love to have him competing for a spot as a speed rushing OLB.
