I love Darelle Revis but was not a big fan of trading up. But to only give up the 2nd, and 5th and getting a 6th back...pretty swift.
I wouldn't say excellent trade because it was costly but we got the player we wanted who was quite possibly the top CB in the draft and if he was our guy we had to jump up in front of Pitt. That being said, I for one am not going to nitpick the value of the trade and am just happy we got the guy we wanted and needed.
By far the best CB on the board.I am happy.I know that we will trade again and get back into the 4th round.Go jets.
If he's such a great player than why did he last til 14? Panic pick. Jets are far more than 1 player away. Mangni's desperate because he didn't have anyon to cover Stallworth...
If Revis has instant impact potential, I'm thrilled. But that's just it: Does he? I say yes. Him with Dyson and Poteat is lethal, so our pass defense, with Rhodes and Coleman, should be very good. That being said, the Jets have to -HAVE TO-address the run defense with the second rounder. Solai is the only name that I can think of. But someone.
That's funny. Steelers would have gladly picked him if we hadn't traded up. Terrible is a a poor description.
What are you inhaling when you say that Revis will be there at 25?You have no idea what you are talking about.I think it is a good trade, who cares about our 5th rounder?I am more concerned that we get a 4th rounder. While I was hoping we got Blalock, this makes a lot of sense.
I'm just glad the kept their other 2nd round pick and they only give up a 5th? Big deal...I like the move.
