This is the drive that propelled the Jets' in there only victory over the Pats' this season. They actually ran the ball into the end zone. This was a drive of beauty, brute force & dominance. The Jets' mostly ran the ball, in short chunks against the Pats', using there bigger back Barlow as the main ball carrier. Barlow actually led the Jets' in rushing that game & the Jets' as a team had over 100 yds rushing. After that drive, the Pats' defense looked so de-moralized...It was unbelieveable & wonderful. This year that big back will be Thomas Jones & the Jets' need to concentrate on running the football more. Cause for the Jets', running the football means more wins. This is why it's most important that the Jets' get that offensive lineman & strengthen that OL. Thats why OL has to be upgraded. I love Blalock. Jets' are assurred 2 more victories if they get him. They would be able to push any defensive front backwards that they face & that equates to more 1st downs.:up:
If they go that route, it seems they are more enamored with Grubbs. Ugh, it can't get here soon enough at this point....
13 Plays.......63 Yds.......6:23 Jets' - Pats' playoff game..... 4th QTR......Jets' get FG & make score 23-16. Pats' start on there own 32 yd line with 11:32 left on clock. Jets' defense needs a stop or turnover. Well.....we all know remember that the Pats' then went on a 13 play, 63yd drive that consumed 6:23 of the clock.....scored a TD & put the game away. D-Rob played well that game, but he needs alot of help up-front. Hobson played well that game also. Jets' could never get to Brady. Jets' have to get bigger & faster on defense. Upgrade the DE's, DT's, LB's, CB's. Can this happen in 1 off-season....only if miracles happen. But piece -by - piece.......Jets' can put it together. Jets' need that NT, so that they can then move D-Rob to DE.
...and if you remember, Pats had a 3rd and 8 deep in their own end on that drive and Brady completed a 12 yard pass over the middle to Brown. So I agree, we need a pass rush that's generated from the DL and not blitzing LBs and DBs
well we do have Sione Pouha coming back to help on the nose, we don't have anybody coming to help us on the o line, and kendall is gonna be leaving in a year or two, so i say go with blalock.
That is so true ,I remember games where Chad's play fake was so magical ,it faked out the guy's filming the game (On many occasions)
yea those PA fakes were absolutely nothing short of special.... so many people have short memories and dont want to remember how good he was when we had a running game, imagine if the Jets could put that together again...chad would own most defenses with his PA
i agree about the trenches. they did not lose the pats game because they did not have greg olsen or aaron ross. they lost it because they did not have richard seymour or steve hutchinson. they must get tougher inside.
