http://thejollyspectator.com/?p=233#comments 3:40pm, TheJollySpectator has caught wind of a blockbuster pre-draft trade that?s on the table involving the Detroit Lions and New York Jets ? Sources indicate that Detroit is offering first round pick (#2 overall) plus an unnamed player for the Jets LB Jonathan Vilma and additional picks this year and in 2008 ? Lions get instant defensive help, Jets get control of second pick in draft ? Jet brass tight lipped ? developing ? Bring on Calvin Johnson.
     And Santa is coming to town too. I mean read that post..are you crazy? The #2 pick AND A PLAYER for who? Vilma? and a couple of picks?????
how can anyone be against or for something without knowing the details? Besides does anyone really believe that the Jolly Spectator has any inside info that the rest of the world doesn't?
if the unnamed player was shaun rogers.......just throwing fuel on the fire but moving from 25 to 2 would just require giving up way too much...go for randy moss
The Jets don't have the leaks in the organization anymore, this isn't happening, and if something like this did happen we wouldn't know about this until it actually happened
and why would they trade for Vilma and get rid of Rogers... that makes absolutley no sence what so ever.
I would blow my mind if we actually had the balls to go after a potential HOF caliber QB. We don't it won't happen.
or passing some bad wind. Sadly, we couldn't give up our entire draft and 3 players and get that #2 pick.
If there is any truth to the rumor, is it not possible that the source of the leak could be on Detroit's side?
it depends if we dont give alot this year in the draft but come on johnson is the bets in the draft but whos to say we dont want to play ball wiht other teams for him then get the best defense player there like a rusher like okyi or lber a lot of teams would give up alot for calvin
